Replacement For Charlie Sheen

How having Charlie get killed off in a car accident, where he is hit by a drunk driver !!

Then have a couple episodes with out him and have Alan's mother make an announcement that she had a child with a boyfriend when she was younger and have him come to live with Alan & Jake..

Possible replacements for Sheen could be:

Rob Lowe - My personal pick as in his younger days he was just like Charlie (all the drunkenness and women)

Robert Downy Jr.

Micky Rourke

John Stamos would not fly, he has too much of a goodie goodie guy after all those years on Full House.

Or have a long lost Grandfather move in:

Frank Vincent

Charlie was pretty much a neatnick. It might be interesting to come up with an Odd Couple type of show, where Charlie's replacement is a total slob.

How about a drug addicted womanizer?

The question is whether Berta and Rose will still continue?

The NYC paper wrote that Gary Busey would replace Sheen but then get fired for not being crazy enough.

Don't replace his character . that would be crazy. Just add some new people . Have Herb and Judith are separated and Herb moves in with Alan. Charlie is gone to Vegas forever and Alan got the beach house . Jake knocks up a high school sweetheart.and Judith has to help raise the kid and Jake and his sweetheart. Jake just makes a lot of visits to the beach house to get a break. Jake has to have a job. He can be a Movie Theater usher that sees a lot of crazy things happen while going to college on the internet.
Berta can stay as the house keeper and Rose just continues to be herself . Herb has some crazy ways about him. Rose can start picking his brain. Herb has befriended Kandy ( That gets her back) but Alan doesn't know until a future episode . Good old Mom can be herself .

I like where you're going with this, should be writing for the show. Sure Charlie would be missed but his ways were getting old on the show and maybe a breath of fresh air is what's needed.

From what I have been reading they are looking to create a new character.

On a side note Charlie Sheen looks like he has aged 30 years in the last month. Sadly I think his time on earth is coming to an end unless someone saves him

I think hoops is right about Sheen. You look at all of his videos and except for the one on Wed, he looks like he hasn't slept since Wall St. If he doesn't get help soon he's a goner.

Replacements are going to be tricky. A new "Charlie" type is the easy out, but probably very hard to pull off. I like the Herb idea, but then you have two losers raising the speed bump in training. I think you need some character to rip the two losers other than Berta. Putting Jake into soime menial job situation isn't a bad idea for part of most episodes. The "dumb little kid" train left the station long ago and that was a lot of the appeal and humor. In fact, maybe his boss could the character ripping Alan and Herb. It probably wouldn't be too tough for writers to work a character like that in. That would kill two birds with one stone. You need a new smart ass and something has to be done with Jake. Another possibility would be Sheen successfully going through rehab and coming back. Of course, the chance of that is worse than, "Alan and Jake, the College Years!"
