A note on businessmen 'being sued'.
Most any business of any substance has been sued in the past, has pending suits today and will be sued in the future. That is part of doing business in our litigious society. In fact, anyone can sue anybody for virtually any reason...and they do. I'm sure Trump's businesses have been sued a hundred times for all different reasons. In the final analysis, these are CIVIL cases not criminal charges. Of course the current case that's raising all the hoopla has not been fully decided. So at least for now, The Donald is innocent of CIVIL wrongdoing.
That's not nearly the same as an FBI investigation into a public official's handling of classified material. First of all, it COULD be a lot more serious with misdemeanor and felony penalties including substantial jail time and fines. You can not be convicted of a crime in civil court. Second, we have no way of knowing what or who exactly is being investigated and what if any charges will come of it. There may be no criminal wrongdoing whatsoever.
So...people here are comparing an unresolved civil lawsuit to an undefined FBI investigation. There aren't enough facts to know if either has merit. If both instances end up the worst possible finding for the Democrat and Republican front runners then they also are also not comparable. One would be a Civil judgment with restitution to the defendants....which happens every single day in almost every city. The other would be felony charges, conviction, and disgrace for a former cabinet member...that doesn't happen very often. Frankly I don't see any way in hell that's going to happen this time either.
I see a rebuke of Hillary for opting for personal convenience and control while not paying enough attention to data security. I see an underling or two losing clearance suffering the brunt of any penalty or charges that may come from this. But...this is 100% speculation on my part. No one really knows all the facts.
