restaurant.com

I bought 2 of these the other day, the Harley Cafe and the Hash House a GO GO at the IP.

How do they work? Any trouble using them?

I luv the Harley cafe, and never been to Hash House at IP.
They are a great deal for the customer, not so much for the restaurant.
Read their policies on when you can and can not use them. Print everything as most will refuse without the complete policy and voucher printed.
We used them at our restaurant and cancelled it soon after. They don't work in a touristy area as you are trying to build repeat business from these.
Most people think rest.com reimburses the restaurant? No, the restaurant takes a hit every time.
yeah, I was wondering on them but we tell them prior to eating I believe.
I just used the ine from hash house this week. No problem at all. You just print it out and let the server know you have one when you order and they collect it at the end. Call in to confirm it's legitimate and then bring the bill for the rest. Easy peasy.

I had chicken pot pie. Big enough for a family to share! It was delicious though. Husband had stuffed burger. Also enormous.

Medic,

We've used one at the Hash House on W Sahara the past two trips, and will be using one this trip too. Never had a problem - I just let them know we have it before we order. Make sure you are using it according to the terms printed on it - minimum purchase, Monday - Friday only, etc. and it will be fine. Hope you used the current promo code and got it for 80% off. Enjoy!
I always call ahead of time because places sometimes opt out. Its happened to me twice out of perhaps 50 or 60 uses.
Also make sure you read the terms carefully. They vary from place to place. Some won't let you use credit cards, though many do.
We used a couple of them last night at Waverly's at the Cannery. Our waiter takes them when we are seated and calls them in. (This particular place allows us to use 2 certificates when there are 4 people at the table, for some reason. ) We paid the balance using a comp from my host and cash.

We also tipped in cash, even though the certificates said 18% gratuity would be added to the bill before the discount. Our waiter didn't do this, because he knows we always tip him more than that, LOL.

The only time I ever had a problem was at Vino's in the Cannery, where they DID add the 18% gratuity and, because of that, told me I could not pay the balance with my Cannery points, because points cannot be used towards a tip. I explained to the server that we planned to tip in cash, and it would be more than 18%. She promptly got the manager, who changed the bill to remove the 18% tip so I could use my points.
I used one Saturday night at the Range Steakhouse in Tunica no problem at all. Like others have said be sure and give it to your server as soon as your are seated this will give them time to get it validated before your check is totaled. Remeber not to tip if the 18% is added my server tried to pull a fast one, I had won a little money that night as was clearing my check with cash and he asked me if wanted change back hoping I would forget gratuity was on the check. First time I've been hustled by a waiter.
I use these coupons often and have never had any problems. Just be sure to read the rules of use on each coupon - they vary for each restaurant - and as others have said, make sure you give it to your waiter before you order. I've found that the 18% tip is added about half the time, so read your check carefully to make sure you don't over or under tip.
This sounds like something i should really check into. I signed up with groupon once and the daily offers are completely asinine, like 50% a swedish foot massage in fairfax. Plus i'm getting spammed like crazy in my mailbox(dont know how, gave my yahoo one that i use for stuff like that, but they figger'd out my comcast one).
80% off? really? I have hash house on list for upcoming trip. I never thought it would be worth the hassle.
