Restaurants and food you miss

The deli at what was the back of the Golden Gate.

Not sure if the pastrami sandwich was THAT great - but eating it (normally a little on the late side with a "slight" buzz going) with a live piano player right there made it seem so.

Topped off by the shrimp cocktail, or course.
Got to go with both Victoria's at Bill's Gambling Hall and the Deli at the Golden Gate. Both are sorely missed.
I miss the late night breakfast specials at victorias in the Barbary coast. that was my favorite casino for a long time. it almost seemed perfect in a way. nothing lasts forever, especially a good thing.
I miss when Taco Bell used to put the three little olive slices on the enchiritos

that's a good one. but gross.
Maybe it wasn't the best food, but I miss the Sidewalk Cafe at Ballys. It reminds me of so many wonderful Vegas vacations with my husband and parents from 1994 - 2006

And nearby...The Tequila Bar with Greasy Dollar Tacos and Two Dollar Tequila shots.

+1 on Rosemary's - that Prix Fixe lunch was so wonderful. I had heard a while ago that they were supposed to open a restaurant in the new Smith Center downtown, but I haven't heard anything about that lately.

Sahara Buffet:
Staying at Sam's Town in the mid ninties, my buddy and I had to grab a quick breakfast before golf. The café was closed so we went to Mary's Diner upstairs. We ordered bacon and eggs with coffee without looking at the menu. I finished first and went to pay the to save time. When I got to the counter I noticed the bill was wrong
and mentioned it. The cashier asked if it was too high and I said it was way too low. She looked and told me it was the special and the amount was right. These were menu meals not some CalNeva deal! I paid the $1.78 for both as my buddy came up and said he left $5 for the waitress! We laughed all the way to the course and many timed since.

Good Luck!
