Retired and in Vegas?

My wife and I started going to Vegas over 20 years ago. We would go once or twice a year, never less than 7 days each time. I really liked Vegas. I tried to get my wife to move there after we retire, she said it was a nice place to visit but not live. She retired and I retired in 1994 we would still go on vacation there until she passed in 2008 and I haven't been there since.
I'm retired but have no desire to move to Vegas.

- The planning and doing of Vegas trips gives me something to look forward to. I love staying in hotels, finding my favorite games, all the 'special' treatments.
- Not having the workplace to worry about has increased the 'happy dance' quotient greatly.
- High air fares serve to keep me from going too often, which, again, makes trips seem more exciting.

But, each to his own, of course.

I can fully relate to this Candy. Whenever going on a trip whether somewhere new or Vegas, where we've been several times, I'm usually knee deep in planning and figuring out new places to see and eat. Vegas is definitely one of those places one could visit 30 times and never come close to running out of places to eat. Or things to do for that matter.
