RIP Leroy Neiman

I remember him doing all of Ali's fights back in the 70's.

RiP Mr. Neiman.

Btw, he was in Rocky III
Weird.
I was wathcing reruns of Pawn Stars last week, and one of the episodes had a painting by him.
I'm sure that seller wished he still had it , being it's probably worth more now.
RIP to a really interesting and talented artist. If you want to see some of his works, visit the Centaur Art Gallery in the Fashion Show Mall next time you're in Vegas. He was one of their frequently featured artists and they have a very large selection of his works. Always several on display, and I'm sure they will have a retrospective show sometime soon in his honor.

I have a couple of Neimans in my collection. One of Nadia Comaneci in the 1976 summer Olympics and one of the downhill slaloms from the 1980 winter Olympics but my favorite is a scene from the New York Stock Market. All are signed. RIP and I hope one day to see your pictures of heaven!

Thanks Randy. I deal in estates and unfortunately for artists, their work doesn't have true value until they pass away. I never saw anything to believe that Neiman was anything more than a gentleman. I appreciate all of his sports paintings and his particular style. I know of nobody who is much younger and does what he did, today. He is truly missed, and I will go as far as saying that he was a part of Americana. I hope that Hugh Hefner will give him a special tribute in an upcoming magazine.

What you say is so true. Look at Van Gogh. I believe he only sold one painting in his lifetime, and you look at what his art commands today. I always loved Neimans, I'm still hoping to pick up a few of his Las Vegas themed work. The only trouble is my wife is telling me, we no longer have room. I guess we can always buy a new house.
