Rizzo on a Super Roll! (A Rizzo Report)

So, I am going to skip forward a little, since I don't have pictures of the wins that happened between the 4th and the 8th. There were some losses, but not huge ones.

I ended up going back to that 10 play at Gold Coast that gave me the dealt four jacks before, and it kicked my ass! Took me for 400 bucks over two days.

I had previously RSVP'd for a slot tournament that was happening at the M-resort on the weekend of the 10th thru the 12th. I was looking forward to it, and wanting to save some money for this weekend.

On Thursday the 9th, I popped over to the old Gold Coast for my lunch break. I wasn't going to let that damn 10 play get the best of me. I had a feeling something good was going to hit on it.

I put 100 bucks into it, and started playing 10 play DDB on the 25 cent level. I was up and down the whole session, and the machine kept me alive, just long enough to hit this....

Four aces dealt baby!!! Yeee hawww!! I was a little disappointed that I only hit one kicker on the last hand, but still....2300 bucks is 2300 bucks! Hello Tax form!

I was on cloud nine!! My feelings are correct, more often then they are wrong, I just wish, I'd get these feelings more often! heh heh

I got my tax form, got my cash, tipped the cashier, and I ran out the door. I ended up buying lunch for the guys here at wotk. Man we went to town that day. We bought sandwiches from Samm's LA PAstrami over on Decatur and Flamingo.

The food there is just outrageous. I ended up getting a 502 sandwich, which comes with Pastrami, steak, chili, mustard, jalapenos, cheddar cheese and french fries in the sandwich! What a meal!

If you ever are in the area...you have to check this place out. Its a really small drive in type place, but they got some great lunch food!

That night we went back to Silverton to try a little more luck, and I hit this on my favorite 10 play machine.

Sheeesh...another tax form!

That was pretty much the only picture we took that night, there were several other small wins, but nothing picture worthy.

The next day would be registration for the tournament, and a chance to make more money.

I'll try and wrap up tournament day #1 before I leave today.

I am taking a half day from work today as well, so I better finish up, all I can finish up while I can.

The day is Friday February 10th, and I am taking a half day from work this day, so I can get over to the M-resort to check in for the weekend slot tournament. Also needed to start making points on my card.

I'll explain why...

The slot tourneys at M-resort used to be different. I ended up winning 1000 bucks on a tourney at the M once, because of their special bonus. The bonus was that if a player would earn 20K points from Friday thru Sunday afternoon, they would "double" your lowest score of the 4 slot tourney sessions. Back then, not a lot of people would do this, and it really meant a lot to your final score.

Then a lot of the sharps started getting in on this deal, and it weeded me out pretty quick, so I stopped doing those tourneys. 20K points, even on my small bankroll, is quite a drain!

Now the promotion for their tournaments is a "2nd chance drawing" which basically consists of tournament players earning 1 drawing entry for every 5K points earned during that weekend. 1st place would get 2K 2nd place would get 1.5K and 3d thru 5th would get 500 bucks...all prizes paid out in FSP.

I figured I would take a chance, so I went to register, got that taken care of, and off I went to the H/L area to start playing. I got on a major roll on this one progressive machine in the H/L room that was giving me quads like it was going out of style.

I ended up hitting dealt quad tens, then quad sixes, followed by quad sevens, and finally a dealt quad 3's with no kicker. I ended up cashing out 1100 bucks on this machine, and I made a butt load of points, I cashed out and headed home for some grub, and to rest a little, since LF and I were going to be back at the M tonight, for more points making!

So I get home, and I rested up a bit, grabbed a bite to eat, and come 5PM we packed up and left for the M-resort.

I was so impressed by how that progressive machine was hitting, that I couldn't wait to get back on it again. I went straight for it, and had lady friend play the one next to it, for 100 bucks each.

I swear, it seemed like it was just 10 minutes that went by, when my hunch paid off again, and I broke my cherry. I had never ever gotten a quad aces with kicker on a $1 machine before, but tonight would be my night!

See picture here

Holy crap!!! I was shocked as hell, as I had never tax formed a aces with kicker on a dollar machine before! WOOO HOOOOOO!! Lady friend was jumping up and down, and then her machine started paying off, here and there. She was playing bonus poker and managed to het quad kings for 125 and quad 3's for 200 bucks. She cashed out 300 bucks and went back in for 100 more. Meanwhile I was getting my tax form filled out, and was waiting, with my hand out, so the woman would make a neat stack of 100's on it. LOL

We fiddled around on these machines with another 100, and lady friend cashed out another 200 bucks, while I lost 100 bucks, and then we got up and left the area.

We went out to the regular casino area, and I played some 5-play and LF played some keno. She had some small winners, but nothing picture worthy, meanwhile I got into "points making" mode and was playing 3-play bonus poker on the 50 cent level, and was making lots of points on a hundred dollar bill.

By the time I was done, I had hit quad aces, once for 200, and a dealt quad sevens. I played until I finally ran out of money, and I looked at the points total, and it was well over 8K points. Not too shabby. I had made about 5K in points earlier in the H/L room, so I was looking decent for 2 drawing entries so far in that "2nd chance drawing"

We called it a night, and we left with my bulging wallet full of hundy's and yet another tax form for the tax file.

What a night! The next day, would be my first round of tourney play, at 9:45AM. I needed some rest.

Will try to finish this up...still a few more nice pics left to share
