Road Detour to Laughlin?

Heard that there is no access to Laughlin from the usual road there. What do we do. I also heard it may be finished (road work or some kind of bridge) by the en of this month.

Anyone hear this?
I klnow there was a detour when they were finishing that new bridge by Hoover Dam, but that was finished long ago. Since the road to Laughlin doesn't go by the dam, I can't see where there would be a problem.

No major bridges that I recall, until you get to Laughlin then there is the bridge to Bullhead City that crosses the Colorado River leaving Laughlin.
I was there last week, the roads are all tore up but you can get through, just slow and bumpy as hell.Main strip is tore up both ways, how stupid.

The detour only involves the last mile or so into town. Instead of going straight thru to Casino Drive and/or the bridge, you must turn right at the very beginnnig of the town( Needles Highway?) Depending on the time of day, it can add a half hour or more to the trip. Its supposed to be finished by the beginning of May, but Casino Drive will be torn up much longer. Its actually two seperate projects- one on Casino Drive and the other will put a footbridge across Highway 163 to give access to the beachs by Davis Dam.
