Rob Singer accepts the challenge.

Not only that but there are free anonymous proxy servers available where you can roam the web with an IP from virtually anywhere in the world.

Hello. First, I would like to thank those of you who have visited my website to post on our Forum discussion about Mr. Singer. As you know, I first interviewed Mr. Singer about a year ago and we discussed in some detail both on camera and off camera his theory about Video Poker machines not being truly random. I have also presented Mr. Singer's so-called Special Plays on my website with his descriptions about how and when these controversial Special Plays are made. There has been intent interest in Mr. Singer's claim that Video Poker machines and games are not random and in our discussion I challenged his belief. He also explained how he has used that belief to catch a winning trend, but to respond to some of the comments made here, he never did indicate how a cold or hot cycle alters his strategies for playing certain hands. I invite you to review the interview with Mr. Singer on this page of my website and to review his Special Plays and his explanations. Please also note that Mr. Singer does reference the accepted correct holds for these video poker draws and the expected value of both his Special Plays and the expected value of the correct holds.

Thank you again and as they say in the casinos as they exchange our money for chips -- best of luck.

Absolutely, the claim that a person has an IP address in podunk, wherever is meaningless.

Well, this will surprise you, but I don't follow Singer's strategy!!! However, I respect them. I play video poker "by the book" and I learned it following Bob Dancer and John Grochowski.

Then why do you continue to claim they "make sense"?

I love the idea that he sets a win goal. And damnt had I used his win goal of $2500 I would be a lot better off today. Arc questioned this when I mentioned it before. And I admit that on two occassions when I had hit quad aces with a kicker for $10K I went on later in those sessions to hit royals -- one was a progressive for 36K and one was the common, ordinary 20K kind. (lol)

The idea of win goals has nothing to do with Singer. He is just repeating commonly accepted strategies when playing negative ER games. You really need to do more reading if you think Singer originated this idea. It's simply an old con man's trick. Sprinkle in an assortment of good information along with the con and maybe people won't notice the con. It see it worked on you.

What is it that is so objectionable about "Singer's video poker?"

Im not talking about his rude personal comments and the personal dispute he has with another board member, and the comments made about someone's sick wife. That is indefenseable. It's just plain wrong.

But his actual video poker play? What is wrong with it?

Now, Ive already said I dont follow it, that I play generally by the book, but I can see some benefit in what Singer does when:

1. he has a win goal
2. he has a betting strategy to increase bets to hopefully wipe out losses, get even, and reach the win goal
3. he does follow the "math" he says 95% of the time
4. he makes his "special plays" in a small percentage of hands when there is an opportunity, he says, to get a bigger win and this usually involves holding aces alone

is there anything really wrong with that?

OK, he has some strange beliefs about machines not being 100% random. but haven't we all felt the same way one time or another?

OK, he says he can sense hot and cold cycles, but havent we all felt the same way one time or another?

so what part of the video poker strategy makes him such a monster???? I gotta know, because Im missing it.

edited to add: Arc, WHAT IS THE CON???

Having a malignant narcissist con man like Singer highlighted on your web site will do little for you. However, it will help others decide whether you're able to understand what really makes a "best buy".

Arc, WHAT IS THE CON???

I've explained all this before.

He wants people to play on his player's card and racks up comps and CB on their play. So, he invented a worthless system where he can "educate" them. He needed something complex that is more likely to generate sessions wins even though it provides no long term advantage. He needed "special plays" as the magic elixir of his con. If someone does fail he can fall back on the old "you must have not applied the special plays correctly".

His silly hot and cold cycles, non-random machines and hidden contracts between casinos and the NGC are there to make others believe he has inside information that can help them win. Just another part of the con.

His attacks on sound VP strategy are there for two reasons. First , he hates that he failed as an advantage player due to his drinking. So he hates anyone who has been successful. Second, it helps him to claim that no one can win so why not use his method and avoid wasting the time and effort it REALLY takes to be successful.

Finally, he sprinkles in good information like win goals, having a plan, etc. that help disguise the con. Things that all good players know about but the suckers he's after may not have heard.

yep. exactly

Using my stupid lucky glitter makes more sense than Singer's BS "wisdom"
Arc, this is between him and you.

For me, Singer has a different way to attack the game. A "con" to me means something criminal. I don't see anything "criminal" in his approach or his strategy.

Sure, he's different. And you can find fault with that.

And I can find fault with you because you dont play with a win goal, and you say you keep playing simply because you are on a positive expectation game. Well, the game might be "positive" but what happens when you lose?

Ive had enough of this argument. But thank you for the responses.

Besides this issue, your info is always appreciated. You are a smart man and someday I'd like to meet you for lunch and smile over good times.

My best.
