The same thing that happens to everyone, I walk out with less money than I walked in with. No one can win all the time, sorry if that fact has alluded you. The big difference with me is I WILL win over time, so occasional losses are not going to break me. Folks playing negative games should be playing for entertainment. If they do happen to get ahead they are better off taking the money and leaving. This is just applied mathematics.

This is specious. VP hands have no utility; the only utility is in the payout. If you mean that some people have fun paying $200 for a 1/20 chance of $2000, just say that. This is another example of reality avoidance. You twist a reasonably valid concept, i.e. "utility," to explain away self-defeating behavior. Rather than looking at that self-defeating behavior, and RECOGNIZING IT AS SUCH, you create a specious theory to cover it up.
