The robins are here, the robins are here!

Phil was right.
I love the arrival of spring! My robins have been here in the Vancouver area since mid January. I love hearing them as they show up and chatter away at each other in the yard. They particularly seem to like the ground around all the Crocus and Hyacinth blooms that are up now. Spring is most definitely here - we're mowing our lawn for the 3rd time today. Okay, I love MOST thing's about the arrival of spring!
I was shocked to see a half dozen robins in my brother's yard last weekend. He lives about 30 minutes northwest of Milwaukee, Wi. It may be a while, however, before I see any robins in my home town of Rochester, Mn any time soon. If they do arrive, they better be wearing snowshoes!!

Glasses can affect your vision; especially when they have been emptied several times......
My friend in New York said he saw his first robbin last week...in the mouth of a homeless man on the A Train.

No robins that I know of down here in Dallas...but I do get a lot of mourning doves, sparrows, a few cardinals...and a TON of Blue Jays (they totally dig my peanut ring...so do the local squirrels)
Potholes! They are first sign of spring in Minot, ND! And we already have lots of them this year as we had 70+ inches of snow and lots of subzero temps this winter. It might sneak up into the 50s for the first time this weekend.
Here in Kansas, our robins have been around for several weeks. As is typical, about 5 or 6 males come to the yard outside my kitchen window and battle for the Maple tree nearby. At this point, this season's winner has been established and nesting will soon begin. A happy spring to all.
Welcome back to the Region.
I live in Porter, IN.

You have no idea how much fun we had this winter, freezing weather, cold, snow, ice, rain, no sun,

Even the Robins in America are bigger than the English ones.
They have been here in central Ne. for several weeks. Always put some grape jelly out for the orioles, well the robins have become addicted to it. Every morn. have at least 4 or 5 lined up waiting for their jelly fix. That being if they can beat the tree rats to it. Squirrels, sparrows, collared doves, cardinals, ect. Keeps me busy feeding the livestock. Even have a hawk swoop in on occasion to fill up at the backyard bird buffet.

How do you put the grape jelly out?
Is it on a plate? A piece of toast?
