*** Rock'n Rick and Rock'n Rita "ROCK" Las Vegas ***

Thanks for the interesting trip report. I was in Las Vegas December 26th-January 3rd. I made a special trip to the MGM after taking the shuttle from the Orleans to Bally's and then jumping on the Monorail. I located the Lion's Share machine but a nice MGM employee told me that the man sitting at the machine had been playing for several days. He reserves the machine for bathroom breaks etc. She said there is no hope until he leaves town (which was to be two days later). She said he is rich and from out of town. He just plays that machine. His body language said it all. He had his leg up and his arms were situated in a position that said "Don't even get close because I'm not leaving and I'm going to win, win, win!"
By the way, surprisingly the best meal I had on the trip was at the Courtyard Cafe at the Orleans. I got the chicken sandwich with cajun fries. I asked if they could hold the bacon and add more avocado. The waitress was able to ask the cook and he did it. I love avocado so it was heavenly!
P.S. If you haven't done so already, you should check out the Silverton. I stayed there for the first half of the trip and the Orleans for the second half. I love both of these properties. The employees are very nice at the Silverton and their beds are marvelous.
Aloha,
Jennifer
Thanks for the great report. No worries about missing pics -- you included just the right amount to make me envious! May will be here soon, and hope that trip us as much fun.

Jennifer,
As I wrote, that on the previous trip we couldn’t play it because of that lady who was playing one spin every 5 minutes.
I brought this to the attention of two floor people (one suit),
and they said that as long as she had money in the machine that she was considered to be playing it.
However when I showed them that she basically wasn't playing, she saw the commotion and started spinning about once every minute.
I was on fire !!!!! and Rock'n Rita smartly hustled me out of the casino and onto the Strip.

The frustrating thing about it was that we did all the shuttle/monorail BS just to get to the MGM (like you did),
and each of us was probably going to drop only about a $20 or so, just to try THAT machine once.

Great read and some nice wins!

Thanks for the great trip report! Love the photos of all the hits. Always stay at the Orleans too. I will need to learn Loose Deuces strategy for my next trip. That 2500 coins for 4 deuces is enticing. I normally have only played DDB or BP.
Rick,
I was upset about the man hogging the Lion's Share machine. He looked like a vicious doberman with a mean gambling addiction. I ended up feeling kind of sorry for him.
Luckily, I had GREAT luck with the old style Buffalo machine at the Silverton, the new Buffalo Stampede and Sex In the City machines at the Orleans.
Aloha,
Jennifer
