Well...Valentines Day was nearing and a friend invited us to a dinner that was promised to be romantic, dinner, and fun.
These same couple had done this every year, this was the fifth year and our first.
There were nine couples.
Dinner was salmon or chicken with salad, vegatable etc.
The EVENT was the following:
A rose ceremony was where each guy gave his wife (significant other in my case)and would profess his love for her (in this public/private forum.)
A song for her, some sang (none too well) others read, I quoted from the Beatles Michelle (changing the name to Laura) in French, and I love you, I love you in English at the end.
Some games were planned but we ran out of time.
The ladies put together some key love words based on the Guys name.
Example:
N Never ending lover
E Excellent companion in life
I Intelligent and perceptive
L Lover extrodinaire
One game was played where some small prizes were given.
A key word or phrase was given and the guy had to come up with a"love" related comment.
Anyway it was all good showing your lover how much you love her and doing it in"public".
