I quit going there once I learned the shocking truth about her baby.

Was Ruth Gordon one of the waitresses? Seriously, though, this place had a glowing review in virtually every Las Vegas guide book out there. The only honest explanation for its closing is that quality doesn't really count for anything in the "new Las Vegas." It's all about sizzle and, of course, the current visitors AND locals really worship "names." Why would you want to go to a restaurant where the chefs aren't famous? And if your friends haven't heard of the place, you can't brag! The owners should really move to a more sophisticated dining city like N.Y. or Chicago where they'll be appreciated.

Dang. I've heard so much good about this place I put it on my bucket list. Talk about screwed.

I ate there once. It was good but not great. There are lots of good restaurants on the Strip. Too much competition.

This place was ranked #5 out of a list of over 1800 Las Vegas restaurants on tripadvisor.com. There were over 400 individual positive reviews. I ate there twice, and am glad I made it. It was a wonderful place to have a meal. Such a shame that they closed.

What was ranked 1 through 4 nd 6 through 10? I'm curious to see if I've eaten at any of them.

Only so many world class restaurants can make the top ten list.
