Rosemary's Restaurant has closed

Wow!! I've dined at one.

I've been to 3.

I've been to one and it's 1,500 miles away from Vegas.....

Well, then, I've been to 4. 3 in Vegas and Roy's in Philly.

I've been to 3 of these. I'm shocked that there is a Roy's in the Flamingo? We have one here in Pasadena and it is on my top 5 list.

I assumed it was on Flamingo, not in the Flamingo.

Well that would make more sense. In matter of fact I think I remember seeing Roy's on Flamingo. Roy's is one of my favorite restaurants, but it isn't cheap. For the first time ever, I went to Lawry's on Flamingo. I have dined with the grandson and his girlfriend and have met his father when he was inducted into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame, for all of the work he has done in the past related to the Beef Bowl.

I also note that there is a Morton's Steak House on Flamingo.

Reason # 492 as to why I don't put much stock in the reviews on trip advisor.

On the commercial front, I tend to refer to Zagat followed by Wine Spectator. My rationale is that if they have a good wine list, they'd likely have good food.

On the boards, both ken2v and westie are well respected and I value their opinions.

I haven't seen Ken2V post for quite some time now. I don't think he was banned from this board, because he has written a book (or at least a guide) for LVA. I hope all is okay with him.

F.Y.I. Roy's in Philly is closed. What's this Texas de Brazil? Is it one of those meat on skewers places? If so I can't decide if I want to try it- a girl I worked with went to one of them and when I asked her how it was all she could talk about was how hot all the meat was......WTF?
