USC Ken. Pete Carroll left for Seattle.

Ken is a Trojan?? That's funny.

Chef: Ken quacks like a duck.

Mush, I'm still waiting for his Vegas top 10 list.
USC? That whole reading comprehension thing again, eh? lol

Cooktony, my food recs are all OVER these boards and have been for years. I think top 10 for food is meaningless crap, and particularly because I've not found a person alive who has eaten at every Vegas restaurant, but if you'd like to post your 10 fave Vegas eats I'll post my 10 fave Vegas eats.

Oh, Oh, Oh, can I play???

You know I'm pretty one dimensional and don't recall eating in a Strip restaurant that's not waving a MGM Resorts flag. I do get out to the burbs periodically so I do have another side.

I'll be pondering this as we head downstairs for dinner at Nob Hill this evening.

Dan

I think the mark of a good restaurant in Las Vegas is if you actually go back. With so many good food choices, to go back to the same place generally says something about it's quality. To that end, the only place in Las Vegas that I've ever gone back to three times is India Oven on Paradise Rd. Fantastic food at very reasonable prices, but probably not fodder for any top ten list.

The only other place that I've been more then once and would go back again is Grand Lux.

But in general, there are too many good choices to not try something new whenever I go back.

Planning to hit Buzios, Spago, Wicked Spoon, Bouchon, and Hash House on my next trip - first time for all five of these.

Dan, with the House of McHarrah'$ coming forth with such culinary gems as Margaritaville and Toby Keith's, being on the MGM Resorts teat is the place to be.

Agreed but they did reopen Empress Court at Caesars which I like quite a bit. Guy Savoy was a great one time experience; especially when HET kicked in a $500 comp towards the bill.

There are other options as well at both V/P and Wynncore but I've only been to a few i.e. Delmonico's and one of the Pinot variants.

Aria has some good choices....we particularly enjoyed Union and Julian Serrano.

On the local scene, we like both Marche and Vintners Grill. Alfresco dining goes a long way with Barb.

Too many choices.....

As you say, it's virtually impossible to come up with a top 10 list that you'd get consensus on.

See you next month....bring your A game.....this way, at least one of us looks like we know what we're doing! LOL

Dan
Oh, Danny Boy, I never took you for such a literalist.

Glad Empress is back up, hopefully as it was. Early on in our Vegas tenure that place went right to the top-end of the list. Wow. Fantastic. Anyway, there are exceptions to every rule, but largely, if McHarrah'$ has a good eat it came courtesy of Park Place/CET, not LovemanCo. Sheldon's done well at Venetianville over the years, most definitely.

To us, Vegas is more notable for its dining than its gambling. I know that's not on some peoples' radar screens, but I'm not of the persuasion that HamburgerHelper, groaning boards and Outback are good eats. PLENTY of ways to eat, as you know, at every level of the pricing scale in Vegas and not be at a fast food court or Battista's.
P.S. I'll be in touch about the Heat Index Open!!
Ken, you ought to write a book about Vegas dining some day. You could call it Las Vegas Eat.
