Rosemary's Restaurant has closed

I heard it's been done already.

GREAT comment from Clore at the end about chain eats' denizens.

I believe they left out a major point here, the economy. As the economy gets bad, we tend to rethink where we eat. When times were good, one doesn't mind spending money for a good meal as to when times get tough, people tighten their belts and cut down on going out to eat and the amount they spend.

I love the little dig about the chain places and their restaurant. For some reason people stopped eating there, they never got into the reason why that happened.

If you read the article I read it was all about the economy. Drop in the catering, drop in the private biz, drop in the restaurant, and all stemming from the economy. I know the Jordans and have long frequented all the independents featured in this article, and I don't see sour grapes. Understandable frustration, no sour grapes. In fact, the Jordans specifically seem to be "getting it."

Too many tourists are lemmings, or afraid to let go of the edge of the pool. Show a path to a Margaritaville or Outback and off they go. Just a fact.

BTW, for all your rants I assumed you were done with LVA.

People are lemmings. not specifically tourists. Tourists go where the experts tell them.

I don't pay for LVA anymore.

Guess I'm not an expert since I recommend places like Rosemary's, Nora's, Marche, Todd's Unique and the like.

Clore's just upset that being far away in Henderson he won't reap much of the benefit of Rosemary's and Nora's closing. If he was on the west side I doubt he'd be slamming potential customers like that.
