What a coincidence. My hometown Fresno State Bulldogs will be facing the Trojans of USC in the Las Vegas Bowl...when I just happen to be in Vegas. It's a big thing in Fresno. There will be thousands of Fresnans in Vegas that weekend...including many, many people I know. FSU is a 6 point underdog and I predict the Mighty Bulldogs will win this game in a blowout. USC has fired their coach and they are ripe for the picking
I agree that David Carr Jr. will lead Fresno St to victory.
For the record that's actually Derek Carr, David's little brother...not David Jr, David's young son. Derek leads the nation in yards (4866) and TD's (49) and has set many Fresno State and Mountain West Passing records.
Many Fresnans feel he deserved a Heisman nomination but was snubbed in favor of lesser quarterbacks from bigger named schools. I'm hoping the Texans draft him #1 next year...oh the irony...but most make him a second rounder.
Derek isn't doing it by himself as the Bulldogs Junior Receiver Davante Adams has set some mountain west records of his own....including touchdowns in a season. This guy is big and fast and has great hands. He'll be playing on Sundays for sure.
These guys can score from anywhere and they score a lot of points each game. The Bulldog defense is rebuilding and has had some injuries, so it's likely to be a high scoring shootout. 62 is a lot points for the O/U, but I could see the Dogs scoring over 40 themselves which they've done 8 times this season (5 over 50).
Take the Points and the Over on this one.
