I just returned from Vegas and had a fun experience in the Golden Nugget.
I was walking through the table games and saw a new game I hadn't seen before. There were two people playing and I got to talking with one of the guys who seemed to know every nuance of the game. At one point he said "Well this is my game..." and it turns out it was Rupert, the bearded tie-dye wearing guy from Survivor.
He had developed this card game and it just started a trial at the Golden Nugget. A bit hard to explain, but I'd say a cross between reverse black jack, where busting is an instant win and a little baccarat as well. The game is played with 16 decks of just the Ace's-6's. The odds seemed pretty fair to me and I ended up winning a few bucks. There was also a unique 1 dollar bonus bet where I saw a lot of good payouts. A woman next to me hit 4 of a kind (much easier than you think in this game) for a $50 bonus twice in about 5 hands.
I don't see the game listed on wizard of odds yet. If anyone has any other questions about the game, I can try to answer them.
Also, playing with Rupert, the game's designer and quasi-celebrity was pretty cool. He was a real nice guy.
