Rush gets flushed in Indy

Quote

Indianapolis news radio station WIBC will no longer carry The Rush Limbaugh Show because the parent companies of the station and show decided not to renew its contract.

I know we have a few Indianapolis area residents. I wondered what they thought.

Rush Flushed
I never cared for Geddy Lee's vocals, but they put out a good groove

Yeah, but if I'm going to pick a real rock band it's going to be earlier and classic... No wonder they got flushed...that progressive style did them in.
I'd love to see the RUSH rock group get the boot. I have no clue what made that band famous. The lead singer's voice sounds like nails scratching on a chalk board.

Very sorry to see Limbaugh go. He reminds sane people why they vote for Democrats.

I was in attendance when Rush warmed up for Kiss at my high school in 1975.

Regarding Rush Limbaugh, I don't listen to him while I'm in my hometown of Indianapolis. My station is on 1070 The Fan, which is 24/7 sports talk. I do listen to Limbaugh occasionally when I'm on the road.............maybe once a month.

One of my best friends in high school was a huge Rush fan, they played Dayton's Hara arena quite often and he never missed a show, he also stole my longtime G/F while I was away for awhile at that time, he was supposed to be my best friend ans "watching out' for her while I was gone and are still together today. Funny how it was so frustrating and maddening and how it turned out I found the absolute perfect match right after that and they were a perfect match....WHEW!!, really digressed there, sorry. I always thought Rush was a decent band, I went to see 'em once. Once was enough, but ya gotta like "working man" and "Tom Sawyer", pretty jammin' tunes.

As far as Limbaugh goes, I've kinda started to call it the 'daily bitch', I get in the car and "oh yea, the daily bitch is on, listen to see what he's bitching about now and usually change the station. The only guy I tplerate, and he's starting to push the boundary's, is Chris Plank. A conservative guy who's not over the edge too pften but that's the extent of my radio talk.

You could insert Bill Maher or some other liberal nutjob in there PJ and say it reminds smart/sane people why they don't vote Democrat.

Rush's music is complex. Constant meter changes, difficult rhythms and unique chord progressions. I'm a musician, and I appreciate that complexity. It challenges me as a listener, and as someone who can play that stuff.

That being said, I TOTALLY get when people say they don't like Rush.

I like the Tom Sawyer song.
Indianapolis must not be big enough for both Rush and the Rolling Stones.

How much money did Air-America (the radio) lose in their short lifetime compaired to the millions Rush brought in?
