Don't hate the game, hate the owners and the players. Baseball is the perfect game for parents to bond with their children. The slow pace of the innings and the breaks between give time for commumication, teaching the game, and how the truly great players act in victory and defeat. My dad has been gone for almost 40 years, and everytime I go to the ballpark, I think of him.
