Samsung, Apple or Hewlett-Packard Tablet ???

Apple iPad (16 GB) at $499.99

Samsung Galaxy 10.1 (16 GB) at $499.99

Hewlett-Packard TouchPad (16 GB) at $399.99

The cost difference is not a factor. I'm just looking for what you think is the best of the 3.

Right now I'm leaning toward the Samsung Galaxy.

Thanks, Rick
This video is a great start to answering your question.

I'm leaning towards getting the Samsung.

Comparison of Ipad, Galaxy 10.1, and HP Tablet
Apple is supposedly going to announce the 3rd version of the iPad any day now. So I would hate to buy the iPad right now. I don't think I'd buy the HP unless I had a compatible phone for easy connectivity.

I think the HP is a distant third and the Samsung and Apple are relatively close.

It is my understanding for computer novices and light computer users, the Ipad2 is best because you don't have a big learning curve when you first start out. However the big (and to me "very big") difference is that the Ipad can't play YouTube videos and other multimedia through Adobe Flash. I don't care about the resolution of cameras on either, because I will use my digital camera for serious pictures. I do like the fact that the Samsung has stereo speakers whereas the Ipad2 only has one speaker.

If I end up getting the Samsung, I'd pay the extra 100 bones and get the 32 gig model.

DonDiego has no idea, . . . probably doesn't matter.

But do, by all means, get something ! Last week DonDiego's 2½-year-old grandson introduced him to "Angry Birds".
This game is great ! ! !

(This photo doesn't even begin to hint at the excitement awaiting Rock'n Rick. Hint: The footprints leading away from the bird's nest belong to nefarious pigs!)
We just purchased a Galaxy Tab a little over a month ago for our business and love it. We didn't have a way to accept credit cards at our Tropical Sno business so our local Verizon guy hooked us up for $199. We did have to get a data package for $20/month, but there is no WiFi there so we needed the data anyway.

I really don't have one complain about the Galaxy. We even used it on our road trip last week as our GPS and navigation system...worked brilliantly! You probably can't go wrong with either the Tab or iPad, but I would stay clear of the HP. Maybe they improved their products, but I've had nothing but problems with their hard drives over the years.

I've heard so much about this game.

Can I get it on any tablet, or is it specific to just a certain one ???

Rick
Ipad - 100's of thousands of apps.... Others....few thousand combined. Sure most are useless, but there are some absolutely amazing apple apps out there. Plus, seems like everything apple does is so effortless and intuitive.

DonDiego couldn't find an answer to this question at the Angry Birds website, . . . pr'bly 'cause he's jes' too ignorant to figure it all out.

But a little Googling indicates that it's available on all three tablets under consideration, . . . and lots of other electronic devices too. There's something called "apps" all over the place.
DonDiego's telephone has only one app; whenever it rings, DonDiego answers it.

This is a concern, but I'm hoping Samsung will catch up soon, as that's the one I'm favoring on buying.
