San Diego/QualComm stadium

I'm sending my wife and son down to SD for the Chargers/Titans game on Nov. 5th. Anyone familiar with that stadium, and have any advice on good seats, places to eat, etc? Thanks in advance

Chargers vs Titans?
What did they do to deserve such punishment?
Well, my wife has quite a few friends in San Diego.

It's warm in November (compared to Portland)

It's easy and cheap to get to from Portland

It's a helluva lot cheaper to get a ticket for the Chargers than the Seahawks

Titans QB Marcus Mariota is probably the most beloved Duck of all time

So they aren't complaining too much. :-)

Enjoy the game! While I have been to San Diego, I have never been near the stadium, so I can't help with restaurants there

If it is an overnight trip then the Gaslight District has nice places to eat.

If DonDiego were attending the Titans at Chargers November tilt, his first choice for tickets would be in the Plaza tier, Sections 31 through 37 to have the sun at his back.

However, if he were attending the Titans at Chargers tilt he would also arrive at Qualcomm Stadium on November 6th, not November 5th. On November 5th the San Diego State Aztecs will be hosting the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors in a Mountain West Conference game.

teechur and DonDiego had a super-duper experience early this year when they visited the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, . . . near Escondido. They embarked on a 3½-hour "Caravan Safari Deluxe". Riding in the back of a covered, open-air safari truck one tours the "savannah" and gets close up and personal with the inhabitants, including feeding giraffes [their favorite leaves] and rhinoceroses [apple chunks]. It is expensive, . . . but darn well worth it!

I used to go out every year for Comic Con but have not been there in over twenty years. San Diego was a beautiful city, but any recommendations I have would be two decades old.
Enjoy.
Good call from DonDiego in regards to seats. Our season seats are in Plaza 21, but we are in the shade the entire game. Depending on where you are staying, I could suggest a handful of places to dine. Just east of the stadium is a bar called McGregor's (literally 2 minutes from Qualcomm, across the bridge on SD Mission Road). Tailgating opens at 8:00, if you have the early entrance pass, which you can buy online. Otherwise, you can enter the lot at 9:00am.
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll look in those sections for seats. I sent my wife and daughter to a game in Green Bay (vs. Vikings, back when Farve was playing), so it's time to treat my son to his first NFL game.

I just booked the Lafayette Swim Club and Bungalos 2223 El Cajon Blvd. Had very good reviews, good price, reasonably close to the stadium (but probably not walking distance). I don't have a high-maintenance wife or kid, so they will be happy with whatever....
Dude, they will enjoy the Lafayette! Quite the pool scene as well. Make sure they check out the Red Fox Steakhouse next door. They will love it! And for sure, not walking distance. Probably 3-4 miles away from Qualcomm. Cheers!
Yeah they'll just have to Uber some places....but there's also some friends down there who might be able to pick them up.

Next project is the seats for the game
