The sane will prevail

Boiler believes that the owners of the Golden Nugget, and their 8000 employees should have more influence over the nuts chasing away downtown business. If the nuts weren't there, there would likely be 9000 Nugget employees. I'm waiting for MarcisLurker to demand a Hillary poll.

I think there's a difference between first amendment rights and what is indecent for the entire public(kids included) to be witness to. They don't really bother me too much but I sure wouldn't take any younger kids down there. Who makes that call is the sticking point, I don't think it should be unfettered what people are allowed to "wear" tho. Diaper guys is probably hilarious for the drunken frat boys but not for the majority, that's for sure.

I definitely think if the businesses are complaining some should definitely be tossed. I doubt it would be any groundbreaking, supreme court ruling on first amendment bashing.

Is that real hair growing from that nun's nipple?

There's a question you don't hear every day.

I supposed the mods axed that photo, leaving my question to be totally nun-er non-sensical.
Must be a good Catholic on the staff, NTTAWWT.
Nobody goes downtown anymore because it's always so crowded.

DonDiego requests clarification.

If DonDiego were to don a diaper and walk about The Fremont Experience, . . . some folks might actually hand him cash money occasionally. This sounds at least as cool as being a Wal-Mart Greeter.

So DD would be advocating crack then? I certainly hope not and hope DD chooses to keep his pants on.

Here is an idea. Go nude except for Speedos or a diaper and then don a sign saying "Will put on pieces of clothing for money".
Apparently, the sane may not prevail after all.

As well you shouldn't. In fact, people who bring their young, smelly, obnoxious brats to party on Fremont Street offend me a lot more than the Buskers, Beggars and "Repent Sinner" Protestors. Ban the Brats! No offense HofbrÀuhaus House.

Clearly - Freemont Street is not a place for children, but it is a public street and there are many children present. Shouldn't all public streets be child friendly?

I would be in favor of either:

1) Placing performers who are not PG rated in a special area (maybe near Glitter Gulch) with signs to notify parents / people wishing to avoid this area
2) Placing signs on either side of Freemont street saying the Canopy area is NOT suitable for children

Somehow they don't have this issue on Bourbon street in New Orleans - or do they?

We already have obscenity laws.
As Boiler has pointed out many times, we limit speech every day (as Snidely points out here), and rightly so. Some Liberals have stated that they would want Boiler's speech limited if he wanted to camp on Snidely's sidewalk with a megaphone and discuss politics.....................for months.

The downtown Vegas business owners and employees should receive great consideration when the government considers limits to the speech of the Fremont nuts. There are about 20,000 downtown employees at casinos alone. Get rid of the nuts, and it'll lead to more jobs............probably 2000 more jobs.

Boiler would fully support the Liberals on this site if they decided to invite the nuts to a year long sleepover, however.
