Santa Fe Station

Going to Vegas next week and going to check out Santa Fe Station for the 1st time.Looking for any feedback from others that have gone there.Going to play video poker and maybe catch a bite to eat.
Santa Fe looks like any other Station Casino. Big and spread out. The Grand Cafe is excellent. I particularly love the Value Skillet -- 2 eggs, hash browns, bacon, and toast, for $3.99.

They have 100% VP games, but you don't earn points very quickly on those, lol.

If you have any more specific questions, let me know.
I like their sports book and sports bar in the casino. Plenty of seating and lots of TV's for watching the games. I used to go there when they first opened and were way out in the boondocks, but it looks like civilization caught up with them as they don't seem so far out any longer. They originally had a skating rink and a bar with windows so you could watch the skaters and play video poker at the same time. Iheard they moved the rink to Fiesta Station down the road.
I always have good luck there. they have decent progressives hooked up to the bartop VP. $5 craps. And the slots seem loose.
I prefer Texas Station down the street just because there is usually a more lively crowd.

I want to say there is a Capriottis on site but I cant recall if thats at Santa fe or Texas

Thanks for the feedback. Will be playing Bonus poker and eat at the Café or buffet.
Do they have an Oyster Bar like many of the Stations Casinos? If so you should try it out. Heard good things about the Oyster Bar. If not, travel down the road to Texas Station...I'm pretty sure they have one!
I used to stay at Red Rcok casino and get RFB through a host but now that he has left I don't even get casino rate offers anymore. Anyway, I was looking at the pictures on the website for Santa Fe Station and the pool area looks nice. I am planning on visiting there over Super Bowl weekend to check it out and then possible stay there as part of my June trip.
Does anyone have any information about the pool area. (size, summer hours, is it heated, is there a hot-tub, etc..)
Made it there.Large and spacious casino.Did not eat there though.Did not have much 8/5 bonus poker at .25 level.3 machines in the non smoking area and a larger bank towards the buffet entrance area.Hit a few 4 of a kinds and managed a small profit. They must market this place well, was there on a weekday and they were very busy.Nice property, not smokey and seemed well kept.
thanks for the feedback, badgerman!
