Scammers alert!

Yikes!! This happened to me at Bellagio last year. I couldn't figure for the life of me why this guy was so anxious that I leave my machine (3/5 play VP) to go to the other side of the bank and play this Ultimate X machine. I figured he just wanted to play on my machine.

He had practically run over to me, acting all breathless and excited, says "you need to go play that Ultimate X machine over here" (pointing toward it), "you'll make so much money I promise." I said well thanks but I'm fine right here. He asks if I've ever played Ult X, I say no, he says "I'll show you, it's real easy and I swear it'll pay off. He keeps on and when I again decline he's now getting irritated with me. Uh, dude, go play it yourself, or go play with yourself, I was thinking.

Anyway, so I start totally ignoring him until he finally stomped off, and I swear out of the corner of my eye I think he gave me the finger. I was just glad he left. I really didn't think of "scam" other than that maybe he wanted to get on my machine, but I almost put my light on to get somebody over to help me chase this nut away.

Wow...I can't believe this is actually a scam of some sort.
I also had this happen in Reno, about three months ago. It was in the Harrah's casino and it was about 9am and the casino floor was deserted around the slot area. The thing that makes mine different was that I was not playing VP nor was he.

He was behind me and said, "Ma'am you've got to play this machine, my friend works at the slot machine company that makes this machine and told me it was going to hit big." I declined as I was playing a machine I liked and I knew it was a scam or something, as I noticed he was not playing the machine. Come on now, if he knew it was going to win- Play It!! He insisted that I wasn't going to win, which pissed me off but I was polite as no one was around and who knows what this guy will do if he feels I offended him.

Well I turned around kept playing my machine, for only about 5 minutes or so, until my friend came by, cashed out and left. I told my friend what happened and she was like, "Scammer". We both figured that if I had played "his" machine and won then he would want a cut since he told me about it. If I lost, then no loss for him and he walks away or better yet, he would probably tell me then his "bad luck" story and now beg for money. Either way bad news for me and my money!

I hope this does not happen while in Vegas next month, b/c he gave me the creeps the entire rest of the morning and for that I couldn't feel comfortable or get on a roll.
I'm guessing they're doing this scam because it's probably not illegal. They could get trespassed from the casino, but not arrested.
Now to add another twist toe this scam. Over Easter, I was happily enjoying myself playing a slot at Bally's. Some guy sidles up to me and tells me about this machine that is ready to hit and I should come with him and play it. I politely said No and told him he should go play it if it is such a sure thing.

Next he said his wife would kill him if he gambled, that's why he couldn't play. He persisted awhile, until I pulled out my cellphone and said I would call the police. He left.

Saw this at the Palms last summer. Skinny guy sunglasses, baseball hat. Had no $, machine was ready to "pop", couldnt hit a w2g jackpot, some BS about his girlfriend was a supverisor at Bellagio (so why he couldnt hit at the Palms I have no idea). Similar to stories above.
I have had "Farmers" come by the Ul. X. machines next to me to see if any X's were left on them.. they whizz thru the denoms and games- which is totally legal and legit.. but if I say "Farming eh?" they get nervous and pretend they don't know what I'm talking about.
Some guy cashed out 3 tixs next to me. while putting nothing in- people are confused about Ul. X.
We just started to play Ul. X. You can win and lose quickly on them.
