Sessions Had Secret Meetings With Russians

there is a problem with malibber2's postings - he should resign and be put on trial....
Paul Manifort is on Russia's payroll .
Flynn calls Russia and discusses sanctions....and then lies about it to Congress.
Sessions talks to Russian officials and then lies about it to Congress.
Trump has business interests in Russia buried in his hidden tax returns.

And the email-gate crowd is still looking for Bigfoot in Bengazhi. Are we winning yet?
And PJ is still trolling - without any solutions forthcoming.
fake news

What I'd like to know is why the Russian Ambassador, a well known spy, is invited to a Heritage Foundation luncheon at the Republican Convention.
Senators frequently talk to foreign diplomats AS PART OF THEIR JOB.

Sessions was not part of the Trump campaign when he talked to the Russian ambassador, as well as ambassadors from a number of other countries, AS PART OF HIS JOB.

The specific question asked of him during the confirmation hearings was: "Have you been in contact with anyone connected to any part of the Russian government ABOUT THE 2016 ELECTION, either before or after election day?” His answer was "No". Without being privy to either of the conversations, how can anyone say he lied to Congress? ...a clue...THEY CAN'T!

Lastly, the WaPo is NOT a viable source for the truth. Included in their report is this little gem: "Current and former U.S. officials say they see Kislyak as a diplomat, not an intelligence operative. But they were not sure to what extent, if any, Kislyak was aware of or involved in the covert Russian election campaign". The "covert Russian campaign"? The FBI has said there is no proof of Russians interfering with the election. None. There is no there, there. They keep perpetuating fake news, because that's what they do.

Thanks for fixing my link. I didn't realize it was an https at the time.

There was a semicolon missing between the s and the backslashes.
The only lefty making any sense here is billryan....never thought those words would cross my keyboard. Of course the lefties calling for Sessions to recuse himself or worse, also called for Susan Rice and Loretta Lynch to step down or recuse themselves too. Perhaps not.

It's Bush's fault, it's Bush's fault. It's the Russian's fault, it's the Russian's fault. The sky is falling, the sky is falling.

Maybe it had something to do with the fact that it was part of the "Global Partners in Diplomacy' event for which 80 foreign ambassadors were actually invited by the United States State Department.

"...the State Department has invited foreign ambassadors to both the DNC and RNC "as observers of our democratic process" since the 1980s. The State Department manages invitations, logistics, and security, and ambassadors are responsible for their own expenses, including flight and hotel accommodations."

That was in response to a written question.
Sen.Franken asked him if he was aware of contacts between the trump campaign and Russia and he replied he wasn't. He then volunteered that he himself had had no contact. A question he wasn't even asked. Now, he no longer remembers what they discussed. That worked well for General Flynn, didn't it.
