Shake shack vs In-N-Out

side by side taste test
I've never had Shake Shack, mostly because there is almost always a long line at them. Every In and Out in Vegas has similar lines, but the one in Laughlin rarely does.
As far as burgers go, my favorite's is the blue cheese thickburger from Carl Jr's.

Carls Jr. goes two ways for me. I've ordered their chicken sandwiches many times at lunch. When they reheat them in the microwave, I feel ripped off. When they are fresh they are incredibly good.
I tried Shake Shack for the first time on my last Vegas trip. I give the burger high marks - maybe even the highest of all the fast-casual places. All of the burger components melt together into one mass.....its pretty friggin amazing. But everything else was on McDonalds level IMO. Crinkle cut fries were unimpressive - especially given the price. Shakes were no better than the ones you get at McD's.

In-N-Out has a solid burger too - but it doesn;t measure up to shake shack's. I have to try those monster style fries.
