Shaming annoying players off the table

D.D. got it right: if you are NOT having fun at the BJ table, find another.
If you see that some players don't know the "basic strategy",don't try and teach them at the table.
You may GROAN at a poor play, but it does NOT affect your hand.
The nastiest thing that I have ever said to a player at 3rd base: "You shouldn't be playing at 3rd base!"
Karma? NO.
The idea with these round things is to have fun.
That is why you are there!
If you are one of those that truly are offended by "poor play" and you think it affects your outcome,THINK AGAIN.
BJ is NOT "team play" or you would elect the best "basic strategy" player for 3rd base.
To toke or not to toke is another question.
If you enjoy the company of the DEALER,please show your appreciation, in the form of a tip.
If the dealer is cutting the cards deep into the deck and you are counting, tip the HELL out of that dealer.
My card count, when working, is an amazing tool to predict the next card, sometimes.
The important thing to remember is that the dealer PLAYS LAST.
All of the cards that all of you took does affect the dealers card DRAWS.
If the players take a lot of small cards.........................
Bottom line: count cards,people.
Have the most fun for your money and play at a table that you have FUN at.
That's what I enjoy, most of all: having fun.
I like beer,too.

In craps,I like to yell "HANDS UP!" Wait 2 seconds and then fire.
Do the dummies that bet a terrible area of the craps lay out affect the outcome of the dice? NO.
Only if the dummies hand gets hit by the dice.(I hope it hurts).

On my last cruise I won three big hands in a row because of "dumb" play at third base so I guess that means "dumb" play actually helps the other players at the table!!!

In all seriousness I have played more and studied more blackjack than I care to admit, I even own a real honest to goodness blackjack table, I have it in my bar at my home. My question to anyone who has heartburn with the third base player who plays like an idiot is how come the other players at the table playing dumb don't upset you. I mean if they affect the outcome then the next player should do the opposite of basic strategy to "get the cards back in proper order."

My other question is this, on a table that offers surrender if the proper play is to surrender a 16 against a dealer face card do you get upset when the third base player surrenders, after all it is the proper play. Now the same scenario on a table that does not offer surrender do you get upset if that third base player holds.

I am one of those people with too much time on my hands and after numerous studies and tracking on my own I am hear to tell you, you will win just as many as you will lose even over the short term because of their play. Even if you play two hands and leave you have just a great of chance of winning or losing because of their play.

Having said all of that I think most people are looking to blame some one or something when they lose. The opposite is true when they win. If it is pissing you off you need to get up and do something else.

Maybe they're just not good at math.
yep, lacking in math and common sense. if u witness bad moves causing u to lose, it is just as easy to witness bad moves causing u to win. happens all day long on BJ tables. amazing how many people go thru life with their heads up their ass.

It's just ignorance of the game they are playing.
BJ is a game of skill and it take a few brain cells to learn a game that requires decisions.
Otherwise,go play a slot machine.
Leave your head up your ass and just go,please.
OK,I will go.
Just flew in from Vegas, and boy are my.......well, you know.....

As usual, set up shop on the low limit tables with a drink holder in front of me. On those tables, you often have "non-basic" tablemates - a little softer term than yokel or rube. Can remember situations both ways - "off" plays leading to payouts and "off" plays leading to wins. Ended up with one of each when two different players stood on soft 16s for example. That said, I don't put much stock in the theory that bad play by an individual has that much impact on others. To wit....from Tuesday...

I'm at 3rd and have been playing with the same group for awhile. Not sure what the heck happened, but I zoned-out. No excuse - distracted by something - hit a stiff in front of the dealer's bust card - and busted. Because I had been playing well, the table doesn't give me the "silent stare/low groan" reaction - - it's pretty much "what the hell did you do??" I don't recall having goofed up like that before - at least in a LONG time.

I hold my breath - she busts anyway - and everybody has a good laugh about it - even me, the only loser of the hand. And I didn't have that great a session going besides, so throwing away a win wasn't such a hot deal either. At least I didn't cost anybody anything as we had hit the shuffle then. The point...

If someone's play irritates you, you can always move on. In the end, from a financial perspective, the only person that will probably be hurt by poor play is the poor player him/herself, who continues to make the bad statistical choices time and time again - - just like I had done, more or less by accident.

My primary irritant isn't so much how people play their cards, but more so, certain individuals themselves. Like the know-it-all giving advice that sucks - "always take even money" - or someone continually holding up the game because they can't live without looking at their phone every ten minutes.

Excellent example twagner. If I screw up I will apologize to the entire table.Win or lose.
SOOO many distractions.
If my "game" is ON,I'll play 3rd base.
If I have had a LOT of beers and not paying attention,I won't play at that stool.
Yeah, the cell phone thing urkes me,too.
Taking a long time to decide what to do? Yeah.
Insurance? Yes! If I'm counting.Split 10's? No.
Surrender? Sometimes.
After a while, you can see the good Basic Strategy players at your table.
I will usually compliment a good player and shut up when I see a poor play or just GROAN a little.
Luckily, the poor players don't last very long.
"What would I do on your hand?Throw it away".
Boy Am I glad I don't play those table games anymore. The behavior of some is simply pathetic.
I really enjoy the "table games!"
If I see too many fools,I will go to the next table!
Less fools at the higher minimum games, usually.
Compliments are in order for a well-educated player, always.
BJ is NOT a team player game. The dealer plays last.
Fools usually don't last that long.

if you do not like table games,I'll invite you to go play against the built-in odds of a machine that doesn't care of who you are or how you play. Simple.
It's just one-on-one that way, minus the casino noise and other distractions: the waitresses with cleavage that say "Drinks, cocktails, beverages? Sure,I'll have one, please!"

If you smell bad and fart a lot,the machine does not care!
It's also takes verbal insults VERY WELL!
If you choose spit on the machine,it does not care!
Some other poor sap will wipe it off.
The machines do not care if you blow smoke in it's face.
It won't ask you questions.... EVER!
It won't ever call security.

If you break the machine, they will fix it.
If you get a jack pot, it will pay you.
If you run out of coins in,it will not say"Sorry".

Most players are tolerable.
Most people are OK.
Choose your friends .
Avoid fools and idiots,if you can.

The very good thing is that you can choose WHO to be around and avoid those who make you feel uncomfortable.
Las Vegas is a place that sells fun.
If it was NOT fun,I would not spend my money to be there at all.
I like to meet new people and share their fun in a city that sells fun.
