Should they do this...Riviera

My question is....WHY !!!!
I mean it is good for the casino player; but I would sooner they give the money to all of the employees who are losing their jobs.

March 5, 2015 11:31 Riv to Go Out with a Bang: No, we're not yet referencing any implosion plans, we're talking about the $500,000+ that the Riviera is giving away in cash prizes to celebrate its 60th (and final) birthday throughout the month of April. For every 600 points earned, Riviera Rewards Club members will receive entries into special Classic Cash Giveaway drawings for cash prizes up to $10,000 every Sunday through Friday at 7:00 p.m. throughout the month of April, with additional cash prizes being awarded each Saturday in the month, all concluding with the ultra grand-prize giveaway of a Harley Davidson on April 25. Check with the players club for all the details.
It should be obvious by now that the corporate owned casinos could care less about their employees.
I think they're doing what the can to get as many people coming into the casino so they can continue to receive a good paycheck till the closing date hits. Tipped employees will love the extra traffic.

You presume its a money-losing promotion for the Riviera. I'd be willing to bet the oppossitte.

Casinos do stuff like this all the time. The money they give away is dwarfed by the extra business the promotion draws into the casino.

The "could care less"? Apparently Milled is telling us that the corporate owned casinos care a lot! Good for him.

It does not affect poor old DonDiego. What the casino chooses to do is none of poor old DonDiego's business. In principle, DonDiego supports Law Enforcement if anything illegal is going on, but he sees no evidence of it in this matter.
