Show Tickets

Most of the box offices say that there is no refund on purchased show tickets. I feel like any number of things can go wrong if you book a ticket 6 months out so why would they be such hard asses? Not like they could not resell the ticket if you cancelled a month before.

does anyone know if they make any exceptions?
I had plans to go to Vegas with my mom several years back and we had purchased 2 tix to Mystere. she could not go because my dad was sick, but I went to vegas solo. I was able to get a refund on hers, and they resold it.

So I would say they sometimes might make exceptions, but there is no guarantee that they will. they have to put the wording in there in case they don't think that show on that night is in demand enough and don't think they can resell
Refundable? Maybe. Depends on who you talk to.

My Marriage can be Murder tickets MAY have been refunded IF I was willing to call the manager "in the morning".

When you book the event, there is a disclaimer at the end of the contract terms.

If you buy them cheaply,it won't hurt so much.

Sooo,the answer is almost,NO.
Bought tickets to "Legends in Concert".

Wife got sick.

Tried to return the tickets to the Box Office, ...........

Tried to sell them to a few people at 1/2 price (was treated like I was a low-life, degererate scam artist ~ but could I blame them?)

Gave them to a nice young couple playing the tables, just a few minutes before showtime.
Looked like it was their first trip to Vegas, ........ and it looked like I made their day (mine too).

Show ticket conglomerates, i.e. Ticketmaster, and their revenue agreements with the hotel/stadium, etc. complicate things regarding refunds. Box office boothlings have no authority to issue a refund, so try going up the chain of command. Agree that chances are better for a show that sells out easily.
