I just took the Orlean's shuttle to the Caesar's Palace shopping area on June 18th. It is downright unsafe for anyone with walking issues or heat sensitivity. It was 108 degrees + that late afternoon and I was dismayed to see that it drops you off pretty far from the entrance to the shopping area. There is a lot of walking involved in riding this shuttle. Also, there isn't a covered area to wait for the shuttle and a quick retreat into air conditioning isn't possible. I was "lucky" enough to come out just as the shuttle was heading back to the Gold Coast/Orleans. I had to half run and wave my arms to get on. Luckily the driver stopped and let me on. I tipped him several dollars for doing that kind deed otherwise I would have withered away in the boiling sun.
I thought the shuttle would pick up and drop passengers off at the covered valet area which is more centralized, like the Silverton and Palms shuttles do.
This is a complete downgrade from the days of it dropping people off at the old Bill's Gambling Hall. Even the Bally's drop off was a million times better than what they do now, in my opinion.
I will never take this shuttle again to the Strip as long as it drops people off in that crummy location.
Aloha,
Jennifer
