Sick kids and adults at Rio?

Since Friday I have been seeing reports on television about an increasing number of children and adults from a youth football tournament that had to be evacuated to hospitals because of an unknown illness, yet nothing has been mentioned in the forums. Is there any better information on the cause? Sounds almost like a child or adult at the tournament already had caught something and it has been spread through the participants.
I sent you a PM.

I was curious so I checked the Review Journal and found norovirus-suspected-among-las-vegas-football-tournament-participants
We just got back from Rio on Friday. We saw kids in football jerseys and their parents heading through the casino to their rooms Wednesday or Thursday night. I hope they feel better soon. Must be some kind of stomach bug the football people picked up outside of the Rio. The latest news I've read said other football people staying at hotels besides Rio are also showing symptoms.

I saw some of these kids with their football equipment and their families walking through the Promenade of Circus Circus on Thanksgiving morning. I don't know if any of the sick children came from that hotel, though.
The Rio attracts the skankiest of whores. Let's hope there were no studs with fat wallets amongst those football players.

I posted the question trying get some serious information.
Looks like it was a very aggressive 24 hour stomach virus. All should be good, now.
Thanks for the info and PM.
