It was tough getting out of bed lately since I've been playing so late, and today was no different. I did wake up early, except I never got out of bed and fell back to sleep until 11 am. Today would be a "lunchtime" breakfast for both of us. Today she would join me for breakfast. My breakfast was a BLT while she opted for the steak and eggs.
After breakfast we headed for the bar and the royal was still climbing. She already told me that she still didn't feel right and would be heading back to bed soon. We played for a while and no headway was gained as we slipped back over $425. She cashed out her $75 tito and asked me to take her to the room. I did, and as I headed back down, I was hoping that I could make back our loss pretty quickly.
My wishes were soon granted when I returned to the bar. I took my seat, 2nd from the end, and my machine was finally getting some play. I wasn't long before I lined up 4 deuces playing DDB. Withing minutes, I had a two card Royal draw, and just like in Fayes SF days before, it gave me my one to a royal...but then had to spoil things by throwing in the 9c. Heading back to BP, I connected with 4 4's for a nice 237$ hit.
I wound up playing for a long time again, and the wind up was, I barely broke even for the day. Well, I'm going to cut things a little short today as the jackpot is over $6600 and I don't think I'll have the competition that I had in my afternoon session. I was in a race with another $1 player to see who could hit the royal first. This guy just plain wore me out. But more on that proper day.
