Well it was now Saturday, and it was the second time we were supposed to be leaving. Thursday was the original day...if there was such a thing with us. When it came time for leaving, I let her decide. That way I couldn't be blamed for staying to long. You know, one of those, "well you know it was YOUR idea to leave this let...don't blame ME!" Unfortuaterly, she was very ill, and this rash just kept on creeping all over her body. It was going to be hospita time as soon as she gets home.
Wound up eating breakfast in the room...just wasn't that hungry. Tried to figure out how I could get Keno tickets brought up with breakfast, but when I tried to reach the person who would bring up breakfast, the manager kept answering and I didn't want to bother him since they were obviously busy being sold out again this weekend.
After getting a little more shut eye, I made my way downstairs to the Bass Pro Shop. I needed a new shirt and some t-shirts as I ran out of short sleeve shirts and t-shirts, and the weather had turned very warm since the middle of the week. Temps were now in the 90's aalthough were expected to take a strong dip on Sunday. Went back up to the room to shower and get changed.
It was early afternoon when I finally started gambling. The jackpot was now over 7 grand and climbing. I really wanted a piece of this jackpot. I had never seen it grow so much, even though I knew it had been over $8400 at one time after we left it at $6500. The afternoon session didn't get me anywhere...but didn't get me ahead either. I guess it would have to wait until I came back down at night.
When I went back upstairs at 6:30 pm, I fell asleep like a baby and awoke to a ringing phone at 8:30 pm. It was her son wanting to know where and when we were eating dinner. She decided she wasn't going anywhere again. So I got dress and took them over to the buffet. I also decided to pass and went back to the bar to get back in action. I played for a long time htting various 4 OAK's including clearing the 4 Aces jackpot again as well as 4 2's and 3's. I don't want to mention just how many times I got dealt 4 to a royal and just couldn't connect over the last few days. Tonight was no different and one time I even had my host standing next to me when I got the 10j-q-k of diamonds. Somehow the 3H didn't get the message that the Ad was supposed to appear. This was sort of the way it went last trip. The royal continually teasing me but never connecting for a complete hand.
Later in the evening, my "friend" Grace appeared 4 seats away. Damns he always looked good in her black outfits. She'd bring an iPod along to shut out the resxt of the world while she played. I got her attention to say "Hi" and tell her how good she looked. I think I was really falling for this one. After we were playing for a while she yelled over to me that she had taken out the aces. I then proceeded to take out the 4 's.
Finally, I asked her if she wanted to "save" a thousand dollars. By that I mean if she hit the royal she would give me a thousand...and vice versa. She gave me the "thumbs up" and we were on.
We both pounded away at the machines until well past midnight. I couldn't take it anymore. I was exhausted, and she was feeling the dame way. I cashed out...pulled out my slot card and was headed upstairs. She said she would be doing the same thing. When I got up to the room, I did a countdown and found I was up around $200. Thde plan was to leave on Sunday...but that would now become DAy 16...home on Monday I guess? But thatr remains to be seen. Our host had originally booked us in until the 20th since he didn't want to keep changing things when we decided to stay over another night. I guess he was more right than we were as Monday will be the 16th.
