Simple VP Clarification Please ?!?!

If you are playing a"multi-hand" VP game (BP deluxe for example) will a WG2 be issued if the TOTAL win exceeds $1200 or is each considered a separate win ?

e.g. $1 -5 play machine and you are dealt 4 OAK is that a $2000 WG2 or just five $400 wins (therefore no WG2)
You're now the proud owner of a $2k W-2G!

It's based on the total hand score and not the individual hands.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

Dan
Thanks Dan.
So if I play a "hundred play" machine even at a dime or quarter level the machine would be constantly locking up while I wait for a hand pay ???

Yes, but only if the total pay off for that one "DEAL or DRAW" is worth 1200 bucks or more.

I hate that they do that too, but they make it pretty clear that its not each individual hand, its the amount won on the individual deal/draw

I was dealt 3 aces on a quarter 10-play machine once, I picked up 1 aces with a kicker twice (500 each) and one ace with no kicker for 200 bucks, and the damn machine locked up, for a 1200+ tax form.

What a friggin joke. Oh well...that's the rule, there is no way around it.

yep, when I got a dealt royal in 5 play in quarters, I had to wait for my $5000 hand pay and I got a W-2G. For some reason it never occurred to me to complain about it
Wish the IRS would raise that old $1,200 threshold .... $4001 would be a good start. Well for Karen's sake make it $5,001.00

Like I said, it never occurred to me to complain about it. You are supposed to report ALL winnings whether or not you get a W2-G anyway. Or is it the wait to get my money I am supposed to whine about?

pearlguy, it almost sounds like you’re saying that those are just piddling little games, but:

100-play at 10c denomination = $50.00 per spin (same as $10 single-line)
100-play at 25c denomination = $125.00 per spin (same as $25 single-line)

Betting at that level, you’d expect to see quite a few hand pays, right?
