The sky really is falling!

Just when we thought we were safe:

DonDiego has changed his screenname to yoyo.

Indeed, poor, old DonDiego has already spread the dire news of impending doom.
Maybe Yoyo & DD can get together and build a Space debris-proof bunker somewhere in Appalachia?
Of course, they would build it big enough to fit all their fellow LVA'ers, right?

What kind of wine will DonDiegyo be serving in the bunker? I'd like a nice pinot noir.

DonDiego's preference is for whites, . . . and especially sweet whites, like Rieslings and late-picked Gewurtztraminers.
However, among the reds, pinot noir is his favorite. He has in his possession a variety of Navarro Vineyards from 2006 onwards. However, to celebrate the catastrophe from the safety of the bunker he'd be thrilled to break out a Patz & Hall 2006 from the Sonoma Coast or a Cristom 2006 from the Williamette Valley, supposedly somewhat superior vintages and absolutely ready to drink now.

"To celebrate the catastrophe," nice choice of words (lol). On a shorter term outlook how might DD play the stock markets, short sell or long positions. Basically, I'm long precious metals, commodities, agriculture, and mining stocks and short selling equities. My short positions include; Dine Equity (DIN), Education Management Corp (EDMC), and Deckers (DECK). I'm actually losing money with my holdings to the tune of about $8K combined.

DonDiego doesn't "play" the short-term. He also has no short positions. He's not smart enough to do such things. Occasionally he'll buy some longer-term call-options, but not lately. Unfortunately, sometimes his long-term investments turn into short-term losses.

His long positions include a very large investment in a very small gold mine, and small to moderate investments in one other gold mine, several agricultural stocks - processors, dealers, and fertilizer firms and a brewer, and some energy stocks - coal and oil.
Oh and last month he took a moderate flyer on a company which provides security services; DonDiego expects that business to boom soon. The stock is up about 18% since then.
Right now he's in the process of refinancing his mortgage at 2.875%; that'll be like getting a nice little raise with no out-of-pocket expense.

Life is good, . . . except for that pesky German satellite.

For those who wish to watch the track of the ROSAT satellite as the impending doom approaches: NORAD
DD, you should be able to dig out a bunker in an afternoon and do the concrete pour in a few days. Hell, in a week you could be all set up.

Oh, and please dig one for the still. Remember what part of the world your now residing.
