A good read as always. EWWWW on the bedbugs. The first thing I always do is check the sheets . Great that you took money home.

DonDiego does not have to concern himself with bedbugs when traveling. Because of an unpleasant experience in an Amarillo motel a few years back, teechur always checks the mattress immediately upon entering a hotel room.

And she usually checks bedbugregistry.com before she makes a reservation.

Sure enough, there are reports addressing The D .

DD..I think every hotel in Vegas has some bedbug reports, don't they?
After actually finding some evidence of them...I think we will be even MORE vigilant in the future.

B londe4ever, We tried Andiamos when they first opened up in Warren MI almost 17 years ago, maybe less, never went back. They are indirectly connected to Freedom Hill concert venue place and the resturaunts they have around here in MI and the D in Vegas. I wonder if they support Fredom Hill to keep it open, they have a small bar lounge area called the D at Freedom Hill. I go to Vegas to get away from some of the noise from the concerts and now they set up shop their in Vegas. I live in the sub behind the "Hill". Great pics and great report!

Well..I never go in the summer anymore. It is spring or fall for me.
I usually go in April/May. I have nothing booked it yet but I am always thinking about it!

Interesting story Sundrop. Even though I live right across the river I have never visited the Detroit Andiamos.

I am somewhat surprised at the received service at Andiamos. I have only been a couple of times but noted that the service was on par with much higher end restaurants. I will try them again Thanksgiving week.

The wife carries a special UV flashlight in her luggage and always checks hotel rooms she stays in. I have noticed she pays special attention to chairs and couches. I always have to stand there in the middle of the room with our luggage till she gives the all clear. I usually keep my eyes closed since I do not want to see any other "clues" that the light might reveal.

When we were at Andiamo's the other night there seemed to be a "personality" at the table behind us. (Maybe a food critic?)
They were dancing attendance on him, explaining every course etc. Maybe their attention was focused elsewhere.

(But they still should have asked us how we liked our meal before it was almost done.)
