Slot Machine question

Seems like everyone has their favorite slot machines. It's my opinion they're basically all the same with different dressing. I don't play a lot of slots except for my free play. I'll hear players at the poker table talking the pros and cons of different machines. My question is, are there some themed machines that pay off more than others?
Strictly from personal observation, newer machines seem to pay a bit better than older ones. It seems games like Bat man, Godzilla and the like hit more bonuses the first few weeks then they do down the road. One game that seems to pay next to nothing is the Brittney Spears game. It takes max coin to even be eligible for a bonus and they pay nothing. You do get to see a few video clips of her for some wins.
Agree with billryan about new machines. When Walking Dead first came out everybody pounced on it and won lots, you could hardly get on one. Then they seemed to go really dead. Now they have a new version(s) of Walking Dead and everyone is playing it. In due time it will poop out. Same for the Buffalos, got new "Grand", "Gold" Buffalo etc. If you play one of those and get a good hit, RUN AWAY. Of course that applies to any slot. But they make lots of noise and are entertaining, until they suddenly start sucking your money away.

I had a good run of luck on a new "Aladdin" machine at Beau Rivage, but my friend playing next to me didn't do much. You have to get the bonus round to do anything.

Dragon machines (Dragon Spin, Dragon Rising, other dragon types) seem popular right now. Depends on when the casino, wherever you are, installed them.

Somehow I always seem to get early hits on Pinball. But I've learned to hit and run on those.

I thought Rolling Stones would be good, but I have never seen it hit much. Celebrity machines don't do much for me, though my friend did well on Ellen at Wynn some time back.

I think Sex and the City is dead everywhere. It was fun for a while.

Look for Quick Hit progressive games (all kinds) that have a separate "Bonus" box at the top. Those Bonuses reset at $100, climb progressively and hit fairly often, and you get that full Bonus even if you play the lowest coin.

I see people play that Fu Da We or something like that. (Chinese babies that giggle a lot) It takes $8.88 to play full coin, but most people play it low coin and get lots of bonus rounds (time playing, not big money) and it has that top Bonus progressive box also, I think I remember. I don't play them but everybody else seems to.

Good luck.
The Britney Spears game does not require max bet to go to the bonus (at least it does not at the M Resort or the Orleans Casino).

At the El Cortez, the Spears game offers three potential bonus rounds. The one is unleashed only at max coins. The three symbols you need to unleash it dont appear at all on less than max coins.
You have to go through multiple pages of game rules until you find it.
Oh, ok, I thought you were saying no bonuses were offered unless max betting.
Look for a machine RIGHT NEXT to an entrance.
The casinos set them looser to entice prospective players into the door.
It worked for me! Some dumb-ass machine that involved fishing at The Fremont.
It was insane.
If the machine cost 5 to 10K,the casinos need to PAY for that thing.Slots should be used for entertainment only.

I had FUN playing Jurassic Park because the sub woofers were inside the seats!
Now,if the casinos would install,,,,UMM,,,,, a stimulating machine for the ladies.
"Here, just sit right here and you may get a pleasurable jackpot!"
They need handles on those.Handlebars.Hey,it's 21 and over!Choose your R.P.M.
It may be quite addictive. Try for a bonus round, with max bet.
I had three $400+ hits on the new Walking Dead Slot machine in three different casinos. SO that one treated me pretty well.
There is a new game called "Lightning Strikes" seems to be a lot of fun..Its loose initially, but they will tighten it with time...The major seems to go out frequently but the Grand does go out around $20,000.00 and only requires 50cent to win that..

I only played it once, and it sucked a $100 Bill up pretty quickly. I'd normally walk away after that but put in another $100. That was mostly gone when I hit a bonus round. I was hoping to get most of my money back and was very happy when it paid out close to $300.
