Slot Tournament Help

We will be attending our very first slot tournament in October.

Questions:

1. Besides playing 10 minutes a day, must you attend anything else, or is it optional ?
2. Is registration process long (GF has a bad back - broken as a child) and cannot stand long)?
3. Do people really win ?
4. Must you attend final banquest to get prize, if you win one ?

Just asking, we are not the most socialable people around - but do like to have fun.
1. It might be more than "10 minutes a day". Maybe two sessions of "10 minutes a day".

2. No

3. Yes, and big $$ too, however sometimes the top prizes are cut back a bit if there are not that many enteries, but sometimes they might even add more lower $$ prizes.

4. I don't think you have to be present, but that's when people find out who won what.
If there is a banquet you should go. They are fun, and usually have great food and entertainment.

GGOD LUCK !!!!

Hi everyone,

I am a new member, love to go to Las Vegas just to have fun.
Just got back home from Pallazo slot tournament Aug 23-26.
Rick's answers were right on.

Most of slots tournaments will require 2 days or 3 days stay. For Pallazo they will give you comp room for your stay and all the info. when you check in.
For 2 days tournament we had 3 rounds of 10' minute( 1 in morning, 1 in the afternoon and 1 in the morning of the next day.You pick your slot time).

Over 400 people in this tournament. The 1st to 3rd place got real CASH. I think $7500. From 4th to 100th you got some FS money. I placed 94th on the tour and got $100 slot credit. It was fun and most important it was FREE. You should go and have FUN and win some money.

Hi Lovetohavefun,

Welcome to the Boards.

Post often and have fun.

Should have mention where its at, as they differ.
Most of the ones I've been in (about 35 invitational) have an AM & PM on the first day and an AM on the second, followed by the ceremony the afternoon of the 2nd day. The majority of them are 15 minutes per session (the Palazzo's were 10 minutes) and they were in the 250 range (HET tends to have bigger crowds in the 400 range as does Palazzo). What goes with it depends on the $ amount of the tourney. Usually with the 20k and above there is a welcome dinner party or a dinner at the end (and usually nice snack during the playing time).
All of the tourneys I've been in require that you pick up your winnings within 24 hours of the end of the tourney. If its slot play, its automatically loaded and you usually have 6 months to play it off. All of them have posted the winners in the tourney area (or somewhere else) so you can check if you one anything. Of course if you win actual money, $600 or more, you have to fill out the paperwork and get your 1099.
