Sneak Peek of a suite at the Golden Gate Hotel

Looks nice!

New Golden Gate Suites
Who woulda thunk it ???

Thanks, Rick
It looks nice, and I know that room is huge compared to the old GG rooms, but calling a 500 sq foot room a suite is a giant stretch
Small, but comfortable. Thanks for the link. Before clicking on it, I half assumed Golden Gate's definition of a suite meant it included a remote control for the TV.

Looks like the GG is really making it happen. I have always liked their casino and we always stop in to play for awhile when were there. When asked why I like the place so much I would point out the old picture of the board of directors in the deli and say that the GG is the last Casino still owned by the mob. Yeah, I know....

My wife is a big fan of nice rooms and boutique hotels. Although our gambling level rarely gets us a comped big suite my wife has no problem paying a grand a night for a really nice suite....I know, she's nuts.
I'll show her the link and maybee we will stay there next trip and see for ourselves.
I'll be curious to see what they sell for.

It doesn't look like the Golden Gate suites have any luxury ammenities: No wet bar, No Fridge, No jacuzzi.

The Plaza has similar mini suites that sell in the $50-$65 range. I dont think I'd pay much higher than that for Golden Gate.
The room has what I call a "modern retro" look to it. I would think this should be called a "mini-suite".

Some hotels should be ashamed at what they advertise as being suites. Sometimes it is no more than a tiny outlet with a love seat and a coffee table.

Very true.

For Downtown we usually book a Spa Suite at the Golden Nugget. At least it is as advertised.

They mention 2 presidential suites. Two(2)?? I wonder how it stacks up to the presidential at the Biltmore in LA? (Has hosted seven US presidents) Or to even the Sky Suites at the MGM, Which have boasted a Presidential stay?

I have been in a mini suite at the Plaza and I am pretty sure it is bigger than this. and there is a wet bar and a fridge in the Plaza mini suite
I'd call it BS compared to the Silverton or many others. 500 sq ft? Gimmee a break!
