So, can someone give me information on Lagasse Stadium?

I'm going with a friend this weekend. I called about reservations for a stadium seat and they are fully booked. She told me that we can walk in and see if someone didn't show up. I asked her for prices. She said it is generally $100 per person per game. That is a LOT. Is it always this high? I note that they advertise Happy Hour where some beers are only $3.

Is it worth going to get some food and maybe stand and watch?
It's a great place to watch a game. We had a couch/semi private area for the Steelers/Clev thurs nite game a couple of weeks ago. Didn't have to pay a cover, but the food was expensive (and very good). $120 bucks (incl $20 tip) for burgers/nachos type food and drinks. Try to get there early and maybe you can just sit down in the stadium area and hope no one confronts you. Just walk in and take a shot. FUN PLACE.
Like the SC stuff, are you a alum? Graduated in 1979 myself. Loved the place, still do. We had a fraternity reunion this past Nov around homecoming and it brought back so many
fond memories and have renewed some special friendships that I should have never let go. FIGHT ON!
To each, their own. Personally, I have a hard time dropping $25 bucks on a burger. Its a cool set up but hard to justify the price IMO. In the end, you are watching the same ballgame you can see in a hundred other places at a fraction of the price.

If you do a search on the forum for lagasse stadium there was a recent thread that has alot more details for you. Hope this helps.
Those sound like Super Bowl prices, although the playoffs bring in a lot of visitors also. But as far as I'm concerned, you can find a lot of places to watch the game for FREE! I remember the old Rampart used to have couches and easy chairs in their sports book. You can always get good food at a lot of places when the game is over, and put that $100 they charge for a seat towards your dinner bill.

PER GAME? I don't think its per game. Probably per day. This weekend there are two games per day.

No she quoted me per game. Of course you are allowed to use that money paid against food and drink. I'm hoping to check out their happy hour.

It is not a cover charge. It is a minimum food and beverage charge per game per person. I sat in the stadium seats to watch and NFL game between the time it was managed Jay-Z and Emeril. It was $50 per person per game at that time. My wife and I thought the waitress said $15. Upone further clarification, my wife and I sought cheaper establishments as we were not hungry and already looped.

Supply and demand. That can't be a cheap area to lease, so if they have enough people willing to pay that price, then that much more to them.

I'd like to find out if the hotel or a nearby hotel have football parties, whereby you can pay a cover charge, and then get free food and beer, while watching the game on a big screen.

Not legally, no, the NFL and its broadcast partners came down hard several years ago on casinos that used to just this.

Another aspect of that crackdown is that the casinos don't refer to their big football gatherings as Super Bowl Parties, but (most commonly) Big Game Parties.
