So, . . . How 'Bout That SuperBowl ?

DonDiego understands the San Francisco 49ers will face the Baltimore Ravens in New Orleans this weekend.

It looks like the line has settled at:
49ers - 4
O/U 47½

DonDiego hasn't handicapped the game at all, and he hasn't got a clue as to the outcome. If he had to bet he'd parlay Ravens+4 with the Under. (Do the 'books still let one do that?)

Anyway, DonDiego'll be rooting for the Baltimore Club, jes' to give Ray Lewis a nice sendoff.

teechur and DonDiego will likely don their own teams' apparel and indulge in some good eatin' accompanied by a copious quantity of beer at a local Sports Bar.

What's everybody else think, . . . what's everybody else doin' ? Is DonDiego invited ?

The Hard Rock Hollywood poker room is having "Player Appreciation Day" starting at 10 am, or noon, until midnight. There will be free appetizers, $1000 high hands awarded every hour, and every 20 minutes they will be "splashing the pot" on every table with "something". Don't know what. I also believe I've forgotten some other thing or two.

There is probably some sort of casino promotion going on as well, don't know what that is/may be.

Naturally, you an teechur are invited. If asked for an invitation, tell them you're my guest. If 'ya get to town before 8:00 PM Saturday, you can have my Penn & Teller tickets. (good seats too)

It may be a very busy "zoo".
AlanLeroy just happens have a little SF49ers To Win the Superbowl @ 10 - 1 Sports Futures Bet hidden away in his desk. Perhaps his Vegas Trip from last May will be profitable afterall.

For the actual event, Mrs AlanLeroy and I are headed to my parents house where we'll indulge in Hooters Hotwings, Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs, Potato Salad from the Shepards Inn Basque Restaurant and assorted other Chips, Dips, Condiments, Appetizers and Desserts (incluing Mrs AlanLeroy's award winning Lemon Meringue Pie). Don Diego and Teechur are welcome to join us.
Headed to a 49ers-leaning party. Host is providing ribs, brisket and wings. Pot luck on everything else. Haven't decided what to make.

I'm headed to the "Big Game" party at the Four Queens. Here in LV, the casinos are noy allowed to use the words "Super Bowl" in any of their advertising.

Made a small wager on SF -3.5 and another one on over 47.5.

Enjoy the game!
I think most books have it at 3 or 3.5 and the over/under at 47 or 47.5.

I think the 49ers can do it, but if they somehow go down 17 points again, then it isn't going to happen. Also hold your breath if they need to kick a field goal at the end of the game to either win or tie the game. Akers has been horrible in the last half of the season.

That being said, you still have to wonder if the Ravens are a destiny team?

Will Don Diego be donning Philadelphia Eagles apparel? If so, he may get laughed out of the bar.

Not if one dons a Randall Cunningham vintage jersey.

Hmm, . . . decisions, decisions, . . . Randall Cunningham or Ron Jaworski or Reggie White?

It's not like it's the first time DonDiego's gotten laughed out of a bar.

I say close game early but 49ers pull away late. 49ers 28 Ravens 17.
