It seems poor old DonDiego won't get to experience the grandeur that was Detroit.
It appears the State of Michigan is planning a "managed bankruptcy" for the City of Detroit. Apparently pension debt and liabilities for retiree health care are the proximate causes for the impending default.
Where has DonDiego heard this before ?

This turn of events will not go down well with City Councilperson JoAnn Watson. Just this week she opined at a Council Meeting:
"Our people in an overwhelming way supported the re-election of this president and there ought to be a quid pro quo and you ought to exercise leadership on that. Of course, not just that, but why not?
After the election of Jimmy Carter, the honorable Coleman Alexander Young, he went to Washington, D.C. He came home with some bacon. That's what you do."

DonDiego says "No bacon for her."
Anyway, DonDiego hopes teechur and he can still visit Ford Field to attend a Lions game. They're scheduled to play the Giants and the Cowboys next year. Oh, and he trusts the casinos will still be in business, . . . if not in Detroit, maybe across the City's southern border in Windsor.
Or, . . . maybe, . . . the Lions can move to Appalachia !
