So the new year sucks too, Dreaming of Vegas

OMG, Afer a awsome day seeing my friend after 15 years, I am awoken by a HUGE KABOOM. aprox 2 am Me thinking the MVA was at the corner intersection found to be wrong. A car just took out our 95 Jeep Cherokee, our truck our house and my neighbors house, and oh yeah our front yard , and my railing and How the hell I do not know, My American flag That was flying on top my stairs. I guess when the car back end went airborn. It was 6 inches fom coming in the living room where I fell asleep with puppy and also hit my neighbors house and porch. Did call Ambulance, PD showed up and OMG, there are no words.............

Sooooooooooo after having to call in and the car being towed by the person who caused the issue at hand around 4 am. I was left to call and take pictures. Alllllll day on phone , ugh. I forgot to add as the sun came up, he took out the concrete street light also in front of the house, per the streets/lighting. " Wow the chunck he took out of the light, you were lucky the light did not fall in on your house......." The Cherokee is most likely totaled, as the axel is bent and the whole passanger side is warped and not one broken window(WTH?), 2 flat tires on top of the body damage, the truck needs repaired, My yard and stairs are toast, he hit our neighbors house, and Dirt was on the windows, tore out my neighbors tree and rock wall and the list goes on..........and the guy tried saying he was not going that fast, really? Per the kenitics of trauma buddy, you were lucky to survive.
Wow. You are lucky to live through that. It's not often that a house is involved in a MVA. Insurance will take care it.

Can you share any pictures with us?
Glad to hear you're all right.
WOW and HOLY CRAP mlv, glad you're OK. That guy musta been flying! I had people run into my lawn/mailbox/concrete stuff at my old house, always scared the crap outta me. Sounds like that guy is definitely lucky to be alive, not going fast? PFFFT!

Insurance was always great about covering things like for us,hopefully you won't have any problem. Best of luck and keep us updated(if you feel like it anyway). GODSPEED

JOHN

Sounds like pics would be really interesting to see

Sure hope the insurance claim goes smooth. Glad you and the pup are ok. 2 am was the driver drinking?
As ridiculous as it sounds, you're so lucky. As you said, if he hadn't hit the flag he might have taken out you and your puppy! The yard and cars and house can all be fixed or replaced, the two of you can't. I hope all is back to normal really soon...then head for Vegas as it looks like all your bad luck for the year is now out of the way. k
Oh my. What a horrible thing to have happened and then have to witness the whole event.
Im very happy you and your pup are ok.

Go to Vegas ASAP.

Hey Snidley, I would like too but I have to wait to see what happens with the insurance the PD and the guy. He hit so hard he went into the passanger seat. He was alone. Plus we have to see how the PD "Wrote " up the whole thing. "Ahem". Since a officer tried to tell my neighbor his house was not "hit" the car stopped a inch before the house. But my picture shows, a real clear image of car vs house in his case also.

Our house is at most about 10 ft from the street, just wide enough for a car on the sidewalk
I know this cause 2 years ago a little old lady (85)parked on the sidewalk in front of my neighbor's house, since we live in a city. When the officer arrived, he asked," What do you want me to do,?" I was like , take her keys? She is driving and PARKING ON the sidewalk, but that is another day.......... So we see how helpful some of them are. He let her go feeling sorry for her and did not like the fact I wasted his time, with a older lady who did not property damage parking and driving on the sidewalk.
