I was seating at my computer after the trip back from Vegas when the phone started ringing. I usually don't even bother to see who's calling as it doesn't matter to me. Well sure enough, it turned out to be Rob Singer. He was in Vegas and heading towards the Silverton to eat dinner at Twin Creeks.
He wanted to know what they should order for dinner. I told him that I like to order the Prime Rib or filet mignon, but others have ordered the 28 oz. Porterhouse Steak which always looks great. He said how was his wife going to eat a 28 oz. steak? I told him I didn't know it was for her. I guess he already knew what he would order. So I told him Faye usually orders the "Trio" which is 3 stuffed shrimp, a small 8 oz. filet and a lobster tail. He thanked me for my suggestions and we hung up.
About two hours later, I hear my phone notifying me that there is a text message. I pick up the phone and open it up, and there's a picture of a 50c heart Royal Flush with the message, "Another Royal at the Silverton". It was from none other than Rob.
I had to give him a call just now to find out what he wound up eating at Twin Creeks. He told me his wife had the small filet(8oz), while two friends from Mass. had the large filet (12 oz) and the wife had the lobster tail. He wound up having the swordfish. He said he would rate Twin Creeks the 2nd best steakhouse he's eaten at so far.
I asked him about his royal, and he said he hit it withing two machines of the same place he hit it last time...outside the Mi Casa Mexican restaurant. He said he went to another area and was playing $2 VP and held one Ace and got dealt three more. Then he went over to my center bar where the jackpot was now over $6500, and he hit two 4 OAK's pretty quickly and cashed out.
He's now got his new RV, and is currently staying in Pahrump before he starts traveling the country.
