Well, I was so busy morning that I just couldn't get to court so early. But I did arrive around 9:30, and went right to the courtroom. I looked around and didn't see her there, so I checked the hallway. Not there either. So since one of my buddy deputies was working that court, I called him over and ask him if he knew where she was and what happened. He told me that someone appeared for her and the case was continued until July 16th. Since I didn't have her new phone number, I would have to wait for her to call me. I had to deliver something to a lawyers office in San Marcos when my phone 't familiar with. It was Sharlene. She told me she would be heading back to Vista soon and could I meet her. Damn right I could! She told me to call when I got back to Vista which I estimated to be 20 minutes.
I then called her 20 minutes later and got her voice mail. She called me back and got my voice mail. We were now playing phone tag. Finally we connected an made arrangements to meet. I picked her up in Oceanside and took her back to my place. When we walked in the house, all 6 dogs surrounded her, but since she knew 3 of them that always travel with me, there was no problem. She asked me for a drink (soda), and while she relaxed on the recliner, I got cleaned up. She asked me if she could borrow my laptop which wasn't a problem since I don't even use it unless I'm on the road or in Vegas. I was hesitant at first because every time she borrows my laptop, her car gets impounded, but she wasn't driving this time.
Now it was time to go to the bedroom and make up for lost time. And it was sure good holding her in my arms again. You can imagine what happened next! Her lips are still as good as ever! Drove her back to Oceanside and said our goodbyes until July 16th. Sure was nice being with her again!
By the way, her shoplifting charges got dropped, and now she only has to worry about the DUI!
