So who is going to.......

Be the first one to get on Rock N Rick's 2012 royal flush board?

I got Frankie Rizzo at 3-1 odds followed by Packerfan at 4-1 and Fedomalley at 4-1.

Last but not least I have Loyd the lover at 500-1 odds to even make the board.

Good luck everyone and happy gambling in 2012.

If it was before say 7 P.M. on New Years Day, then you have me beat. Otherwise, here it is:

Second year in a row where I've had one on New Year's Day.

The better news for us was that we had three other $20K or more hits the same night.....final standing....plus $72,500.

I'm happy to have Pack or Rizzo win the RF thread if we can win the dealt Quick Quad one!

Good luck everyone and Happy New Year!

Dan
Congrats you two.
WOW! Very nice Dan! Sheeesh! $300 bucks a spin huh!? You must have really been doing good that day!

Congrats on the win.

Still waiting to see if Rick is going to put up the 2012 Royal Flush thread!

I tried on New Years day and got Aces with a kicker on a 50 cent machine, but no damn royal. I think about 30 times I was dealt 3 to the royal and got one but not the other. I hate that.
Yup, right up there with:

4 to a RF on 100 line and not converting one (Eureka in Mesquite a few months ago)

OR

Dealt FL w/ 4 to a RF, tossing the FL and getting zip

OR

Dealt Straight w/ 4 to a RF, tossing the straight and getting zip

OR

Dealt 4 to a RF and picking up the needed card in the wrong suit....20 credits instead of 4K.

Notoriously on multi line machines, if you get 3 to a RF and don't hit the RF, you're going to lose money on the hand.

The RF on New Year's was a total surprise....when you're playing QQ, you're looking for 4OAK's and not expecting the RF. Like most of them, it was an unusual result.

Nice hit Dan. Keep it going!
I don't know this game or its paytable. What's the expected per-round cash loss of playing this game at $300 a shot?

As a cheapskate Vegasphile, I am very thankful other people gamble like this.
99.65% game return with .133% cash back plus an undetermined accruing rate of holiday gift shoppe points that we convert into free play at year end.

Discounting the holiday gift shoppe stuff, the theo game return with CB is 99.78% or a theo loss of .22%.

We ran through $283K that night which should have resulted in a theo loss of $622.60.

We also earned about $900 (don't have the exact figure in front of me but we do track it) in Express Comps. I don't value this as part of the game return but if you come to town, you have to eat, right?

We decided while we were playing to stay and our host booked us back into the same renovated Bungalow suite we had the three nights before. The room was comped.

We also decided around 9 P.M. to go to Fiamma for dinner and took three of our friends. Total tab was $250 and was picked up on a discretionary basis.

I'd like to believe that $283K coin in might yield an offer or two but once again, I don't count on this in the mix as what you get for what level you play isn't transparent.

The only reason we played as long as we did is simply because we were winning. I know that this isn't the best game in town but for the Strip, you'd be pressed to find much better. We set a loss limit as we knew we were playing a negative expectation machine and were playing well short of anything near a reasonable bankroll to be playing it for a while. In the end, we got lucky.

In case you're interested, here are the pics of the big hands:

Holy crap!!! What nice hits!! WOOOO HOOOO!!

Way to go Dan! Yeee hawww!!
