Some Folks Are Experiencing Difficulty Today, . . .

Ugly day all 'round. Time to get those gold fillings?
Well it appears that that Greece has submitted a proposal to the Eurozone that will solve their debt crisis.....53 Billion Euros in new debt in return for some reform on pensions and taxes. I would beware that gift.

My suggestion for Ms. Merkel is to announce that Germany would consider the Greek proposal....and vote on it in a referendum in the coming weeks.
If Germany agrees, they are again kicking the can down the road. They will be having these meetings again soon.

A brief observation on The Greek Problem:
"Today, the European Parliament has 24 official languages, and the fate of 'Europe' is said to be linked to the future of ramshackle Greece. There, on Sunday night [5 july], people poured into Athens’ Syntagma Square to celebrate having told the creditors to send more money with fewer strings attached. Many celebrants came to the square by subway, which did not charge riders because capital controls, a consequence of five years of negotiations with creditors and evasions of reality, had made currency scarce."

Ironic.

How is that ironic? The Greek people got to vote to reject the EU proposal, why don't the German people and all Europeans get a vote too? Maybe they'll support the bailout. That would be democracy in action. I suspect you may not know what irony means.

...and vote or not, the haircut is coming any way you look at it. It's just going 53 billion more hair when the barber starts snipping.

How is that ironic?...
The loan forgiveness that West Germany received, which it needed because it had try to destroy much of the world, enabled West Germany to recover and thrive. The terms the Germans are now demanding from Greece, because they had pensions that were too generous, may succeed in making Greece look like East Germany.

What terms are the 'Germans now demanding?' I'm talking about a bailout and austerity proposal that has been submitted by the Government of Greece after their people voted against austerity in a referendum. There's your irony. If that makes Greece look like East Germany it's their own fault. It's their proposal now. They own it.

If I was their dictator I'd consider renouncing all of this debt, declaring national bankruptcy and moving to bitcoin as the national currency. Well maybe some kind of Gold Backed Bitcoin...like a GoldBit or a BitoGold.

At least go back to a Drachma so it can be valued at next to nothing which makes Greece's semi-skilled highly unemployed workforce more competitive in the cold hard world of international trade. That would teach those mean Germans a lesson, eh? A real fresh start for Greece!
