Song of the day.

Alas, communication and lack of comprehension of the English language is sadly disappearing. It's about the little things... even in VEGAS!
For instance:
"The winner will receive a bundle of 100 $ bills !" OR "The winner will receive a bundle of $100 bills !"

NOTE: Not "exactly" the same... just sayin'
852, I am glad you chimed in. Blowing off steam from real life is definitely needed right now. Lol. I realized that was all this forum was getting used for was the political nonsense and I literally have to bite my tongue in real life for two years now well, probably longer, but I digress.

Today's song....so you've had a bad day!

Sadly, I promise I am a chippy cheery person, which is why this negative nastiness is such a buzz kill. People I've known for years have bitten into the apple. Misplaced anger and hatred is a very destructive pill to swallow and will bite you in the ass. I don't think people are getting the long term picture. There are consequences to throwing temper tantrums as an adult....the precise reason I am choosing not to confront people about this nonsense. People are even taking this nonsense to work and starting drama. The world has gone crazy. And I can't believe we are undermining the office of the presidency to the world. Our country has lost its freaking mind. These people have no clue the destruction they are doing.
And welcome 852, we need voices of sanity to drown out the nonsense. I have sat silently for two years. I also try to remain silent, but then it gets to the point of not wanting to remain the "silent" vote. But fortunately/unfortunately my upbringing and church taught me to "not say anything if you don't have some nice to say" and "speak when spoken to"....but at some point these "liberals" and politicians want to hear no voice or opinion but their own.
My applause to the long silent members now speaking. I appreciate the sentiment. This Twain quote has always been one of my favorites:

Yeah, thanks guys! I need an actual real conversation at the moment. All of this world back and forth hate rhetoric Is too much. I read some of this stuff and it is such "non-speak". They just double talk their nothingness to hear themselves talk. The biased "journalism" is appalling. You click a headline and the story is not even remotely the headline. The lack of integrity to the truth is just....no words for it. Nothing is appropriate. It is just....unbelievable maybe. And I in no way mean due to the subject matter. I am somewhat seeing what I said 6 months ago that my vote was intended for....to show Washington that the status quo and "politicians" not doing the work they were Elected to do was no longer an acceptable option on the table. Trump has actually garnered my respect for remaining true to himself. I do think he is a smart business man and patriot, but did understand he was not a scholar of politics. That is the good and the bad of it. Glad he is giving it his all though. I respect a man that doesn't back down.

I think my English lit teacher said it was Alexander Pope or somebody farther back in English lit who first said that. Not to dis Mark Twain...he had a million of 'em.

Very interesting.

Apparently there is some question as to who actually said this first.

__ Proverbs 17:28 expresses the same thought.

__ The quote was attributed to Abraham Lincoln before it was attributed to Mark Twain.

I think we can be assured that almost no quote attribution is ever going to be accurate moving forward. But I would hope that a good viewpoint has been expressed by many a wise minds.
Today's song... oh happy day.

The game ended up being a good game in the end, they left the politics out of it and we had good company
